Guest guest
For me the muscle cramps were entirely low sodium. The sea salt stops them in their tracks. BUT when I take this much sea salt I worry about low Potassium, though i have never had it come up low on testing, I do drink OJ or eat a banana ever day.. Both are high in Potassium. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
What is your daily vitamin/mineral supplement like? You probably need magnesium. Best, Handcrafted Jewelry ~ http://www.ChestnutHillDesigns.comCurly Horse Rescue ~ http://www.CurlyRescue.com ~Flashlights are tubular metal containers for thepurpose of storing dead batteries.~ Leg cramps I continue to get severe leg cramps in the evening and during the night. I get them about 3 or 4 times a week. Last night I got one that was so intense it started to really concern me. It felt as if it would rip my foot off my leg except for the bones holding it all together. I took a bunch of calcium, magnesium, and sea salt, and it went away in about 10 minutes. Is there anything else I should be doing??? I'm now taking 25 mg HC and 2-1/2 grains Armour. Thanks. Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV Also for everyone that is on BP meds, like me, it is recommended to eat a banana a day and/or drink OJ. Guest guest
Kathy you should be on Potassium sparing BP meds. Dyazide is a good one and did more for me than any of the other " stronger " ones. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
, I currently take about 600 mg of magnesium (mostly the malate form) and 600 mg calcium (citrate) on a regular basis. Plus, I eat a huge meal of dark greens every day. Zoe What is your daily vitamin/mineral supplement like? You probably need magnesium. Guest guest
I don't seem to find that the sea salt makes a lot of difference. But I do try to get 1/2 - 1 teaspoon a day for the trace minerals. I drink a couple glasses of celery/parsley juice every day, and that has lots of sodium and potassium in it. Zoe
Guest guest
Zoe- I suffer from intense leg cramping like you are describing. It is unclear to me, do you take Mag, and Ca in the day time, or just when cramps hit? For me, the cramping improved dramatically when I took ca and mag supplements as a preventative during the day. If you wait until the cramping has begun, I think it is too late. HTH Carol Re: Leg cramps I don't seem to find that the sea salt makes a lot of difference.
