hi jan i have a tens unit, had it for years for my back, it helped alot in the

beginning, hope you get to feeling better, on a funny note ui used to love to

stick an electrol on someone and crank it up ahhhhhhhhh i kill me teeheehee the

dog really didnt think it was funny she stayed under the bed for 2 days

hahahahaha

Oh Jill your silly see,I would have done that to my cat if I had one-Tee-hee,but

everyone has been talking about this tens thing amajiggy,I go to my pain

managment Dr. on Thurs.and I'm sure gonna ask about it,does insurance cover

it??? Huggs,

I don't think that I will ever get disability.Â My lawyer made me so so so mad

that I told him I didn't care if I was going to get it that I was terminal.Â He

only gets paid if I get disability and he is a jerk who put me on the back

burner and didn't care if I had enough money this past 4 months.Â Thanks for

listening.......ps I am not starving.

He wanted me to take a 2 to 3 hour mental tests with his guy.........400 to 500

hundred dollars out of my pocket and I told him NO that I could not do it that

he had enough info to present to the judge.........It makes me want to wish this

disease on people.....I wouldn't do that but I do think of it.

Did anyone else here on the forumÂ have to take a 2-3 hour mental test to get

disability?Â I sure didn't. I don't have cirrhosis,but haveÂ disablilty for

other things. I'd just like to know if anyone else had to do this or if your

lawyer is nuts himself!?

He wanted me to take a 2 to 3 hour mental tests with his guy......... 400 to 500

hundred dollars out of my pocket and I told him NO that I could not do it that

he had enough info to present to the judge....... ..It makes me want to wish

this disease on people.....I wouldn't do that but I do think of it.

trying to put it to me.Â My nephew is an attorney here in Texas and I am going

to ask him what I should do.Â What does everyone think?

immediately approved for Medicare...as soon as she applied..it took like 2

wweks! I think your lawyer is jacking you around.Â get another one! Woill you

owe him anythingÂ if you dump him? Have your nephew write him a letter...he'll

know what to say.

attorney. I haven't heard any thing about a mental test.

Maybe your nephew could ask around and find you a good attorney? Just

a thought. I can't believe you are having soooo much trouble! I

think my lawyer just sent in my paperwork and I went to see him in

October. He said it would take awhile though. He said he wins 98% of

his cases because he won't take one that he doesn't think he can win.

I hope you get the legal help you need Lyncia! Bless your heart! I'd

go to an attorney that specializes in disability.

I don't think that I will ever get disability. My lawyer made me so so so mad

that I told him I didn't care if I was going to get it that I was terminal. He

only gets paid if I get disability and he is a jerk who put me on the back

burner and didn't care if I had enough money this past 4 months. Thanks for

My insurance is covering the unit, but not sure it is mine to keep. It may

be rented. and I don't know how to get new pads for it and they say to only

use approved batteries. I have never seen any like the one they included.

Got a demonstration on my hand today, found out I can't electrocute myself

with it. The instruction sheet said to use a minimum of 30 minutes so if I

move it around to all my hurting places, I could use it 24/7. Jan H

I had a long mental test before I was denied. But I didn't have to pay for

True...I get a whoppong $400.00 a month,not anywhere enough to live on my own.

But it helps and the Medicare is a huge help with medical bills.

LOL ! Too funny.....ask your doctor for a perscription forÂ them. Mine wirtes ot

for TENS unit supplies and the medical supply pharmacy( where I got the unit)

My insurance is covering the unit, but not sure it is mine to keep. It may

be rented. and I don't know how to get new pads for it and they say to only

use approved batteries. I have never seen any like the one they included.

Got a demonstration on my hand today, found out I can't electrocute myself

with it. The instruction sheet said to use a minimum of 30 minutes so if I

move it around to all my hurting places, I could use it 24/7. Jan H

Social Security sent me to a psychologist for a mental test and they paid for

it. It only took about a half hour.

Again - do you really think there are many people that are suffering from liver

disease, that are not a little fogged in the head??? I'd certainly fail any

mental test, having just come off another treatment. Then, to boot, these

things are 2 - 3 hrs long?? I've never been able to pay attention that long.

First it was hyperactivity and after that was curbed by blood pressure pills -

then it was treatment or after treatments.

I had a long mental test before I was denied. But I didn't have to pay for

My mental test was more to check my memory and reasoning skills. Of course,

they didn't have me come back hours later to ask me something I hadn't been

told I would have to remember. Like where I put my car keys, or if I

remembered to get the clothes out of the washer into the dryer.

They had me count backwards by threes from 100, and they would tell me a list of

words, and wanted me to repeat them back in order. I forget things like that

easily. I remember the first couple of words, but not the rest. There were

other tests too that I don't remember anymore. I was approved for the

disability.

The last time I worked before applying for SSDI, I would sit at work confused

and didn't know what I should do even though I could do the job in my sleep

normally. I couldn't concentrate on what somebody would tell me some of the

time. I'm still like that, but worse sometimes, I think. My short term memory

is terrible, and it is hard to concentrate when people talk to me sometimes even

since my transplant and treatment. I get so frustrated with myself because I

can't remember how to do things that I used to do all the time. I can't

understand simple things sometimes and that frustrates me so much. I feel like

I've gotton dumb.

Penny - I know the feeling. I used to be able to learn something new very

easily. I graduated from college with honors about 20 years ago. Now I

forget how to shut off my computer sometimes and have to think about it for

awhile. My typing is also getting worse. Jan H
