Adrenal meds should be swallowed with food.

Isocort tastes NASTY! It is yucky, bitter stuff. Swallow, and take with a

bit of food so it doesn't upset your stomach.

Thanks for the quick replies.. Oh how much easier it will be to know I

don't have to wait to eat... My son has designed a menu for me for the

morning... boild eggs and coffie and grapes...

I read that it does taste nasty, but I read that a doc said he saw

better results when chewed. I'm almost desperate enough to suck on

it, if it will help me feel better consistantly... This daily up,

down, and around the corner stuff has got to stop... arggggh! I don't

mind the 'up' part.. it's the other two in the equation that are

troublesome...

Thanks. I will let you know how it goes... after a while on the stuff

I will ask for a repeat Thyroid panel and see what the fT3 looks like

with Cortisol... granted, I won't have the results from yesterday's

draw for a month.... oh, and I smeared some Cort. cream on my body

today... I hope it got in and enjoyed itself!

My doctor told me to take Isocort sublingually. It makes a big difference. I experience almost no effect if I just swallow it or take it with food. Zoe

So if we swallow it it is useless? I can't handle the taste.

Given the different points of view on this group, I suspect people differ on how best to take Isocort. You'll have to discover what is true for you. For me, the taste isn't bad; it is virtually tasteless. Zoe

Well, I hope my tastebuds are unoffended by the taste as well.. I do

know it doesn't stink like the Armour does.. and that is a plus. (You

know, I never realized the stink until someone mentioned it on the

site.) Well, I'll see if I can handle it in my mouth... if it is too

bad... I guess I can chew it up thorough like...we'll see. I think I

am about ready to try anything... but I do have rather sensitive gag

reflex... I'll kep you posted...Thanks again... j(acqueline)

It seems that for me, IsoCort has a slight metallic taste. The first

45 min to an hour weren't so bad, but now after an hour, the 'flavor'

is getting pretty nasty. I'm also feeling a bit jittery. I will take

that to be a good thing... dump that T3.. yaahaw!

Again, I'll keep you posted as time passes... thanks for all you do!
