Guest guest
I had my surgery last week and had dexamethasone or some such in my IV. I felt an adrenal crash that night and the docs would not give me any more and I had not brought my cortisol. I insisted and the docs finally gave in and gave me half a dose. I felt really good. Now I am replacing cortisol as usual and adding a bit more, but I seem to be worn out. Any recommendations on how much to be adding while mending from surgery? My stitches do not come out until July 11, I don't even know how many I have. Perhaps I am not supplementing enough but I am worried I am becomming so dependent on cortisol or pred. Thanks, -- Adrenal achiness? Hi!I'm new to this group. I've been on the thyroid group for the past few weeks. I started on Armour at the beginning of the month. I'm up to 1 3/4 grains.I just did my Canary Saliva tests today. I have a lot of symptoms of adrenal fatigue. I'm curious to see how the saliva tests come out. I don't have a doctor to work with for the adrenal support.Do adrenals ever ache? I have a bilateral back ache. It could be muscular but I don't think so. I don't have any symptoms of a UTI. I look forward to working my way through your files. Thanks,Kim in Texas
Guest guest
Kim, I certainly have had the achiness. I get it most often when I have just woken. In fact, it has even woken my up. best,AdriaGreen Mountain Curlies, Inc.~~~http://greenmountaincurlies.official.ws/GMC Blog~~~http://greenmountaincurlies.blogspot.com If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you. ? Guest guest
Adria, Thanks for your response. I'll keep observing. I was wondering what I could have done that would cause the deep muscles in that area to ache. I thought " I'll have been doing is working (online at a computer) certainly nothing differnt " . I certainly have not been up to working out. When I drug myself out of bed this morning to feed the horses, it clicked. My husbands and daughter usually feed the horses. I have been moving a bale of hay over to the wheel barrel and then tossing several flakes at a time over the fence. A task I'm certainly capable of but I'm using muscles that don't normally get worked like that. Maybe that is what I'm feeling. I guess time will tell. Guest guest
Could be Kim, could be. I had thought my achiness was due to a difference in pooh picking, but then it didn't go away like a muscle ache due to change of activity should have. That's when I realized what it was. Also, my DHEA was a 2 in a range of 3-10. best,AdriaGreen Mountain Curlies, Inc.~~~http://greenmountaincurlies.official.ws/GMC Blog~~~http://greenmountaincurlies.blogspot.com If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you. Guest guest
Hi Kim. It was Monday when I had to go feed our horses that my husband or daughter usually feed that I first realized something was REALLY wrong too. By the time I got through with the horses, goats, and chickens and got back to the house I was shaking like a leaf. Then the next day I was SO sore from going up and down the steps in the barn. That has never happened before. And as much as I love to ride, I just can't get up enough " gumption " to even want to ride anymore. There has to be an answer! Guest guest
Hi Kim, and welcome. I too have aches in the adrenal area, usually in the morning. Isocort has helped. Deb > Do adrenals ever ache? Guest guest
I have the ache as well. I thought it was a bad lower back after the birth of my son. Now, in hindsight, I had (1) back menstrual cramps; (2) back labor with both my kids; (3) chronic low back pain since the birth of my son. Hmmmm.... (duh!) Now myback bothers me if I'm late with my Isocort, I'm under stress (emotional or physical), or when I stand for any length of time. Guess what? I don't have menstrual cramps in my back anymore. I was sorta floored the first time I had cramps in my abdomen, it was a totally new thing to me, a few months ago! Guest guest
Wow. Same here. about the menstrual and birth pain. But, also after standing. why do they ache like that? Does the isocort really help? --- Ives wrote: > I have the ache as well. I thought it was a bad > lower back after the birth > of my son. Guest guest
I'm not sure why they ache from standing. I always thought I had muscle spasms in my lower back, but after taking Isocort, the pain goes away, but when I'm due for a dose, it comes back, and in the evenings, as I take my last Isocort at 3 pm. So standing making dinner, my back aches. Could it be just the stress from standing? I don't know. I do know that when I was at my worst in this " journey " , even standing was an effort. Actually, it still is. I prefer to sit. I do get tired very easily when I'm standing.
