Guest guest
Happy New Year everyone. I expect to eat, workout, and LIVE the BFL way throughout 2005 and on into the future. 2004 was my year of discovery of the BFL way. I owe a big debt of thanks to Bill and his books. I have made great strides, even though injuries and bad choices have sometimes reared their ugly head. BTW, I did get bitten by a dog this morning on my 3 mile walk. Bummer. Dog had its shots though so I'll be OK. I will start the new year with an optimism for the future. Whatever pitfalls are thrown in my way, I will overcome. A big part of this optimism comes from the wonderful support I receive from the fine folks on this group. The feedback, support, and general camarederie are EXCELLENT! I appreciate very much the benefits I got from the group in 2004 and am looking forward to more of the same in 2005. THANK YOU to all who were members in '04 and a giant welcome to all the newcomers, both recent and new for '05. An added exciting dimension for me is a(hopefully lasting) current interest in eating healthy and nutrition/exercise being demonstrated by my wife and our 2 foster children (ages 15, 14). They are not going to do the BFL, but with my guidance, and use of fitday software, I think I can help them achieve some of their goals. It will be difficult because they are so different. The 14 yr old is about 20# overweight and has asthma and finds exercise 'disgusting'. The 15 yr old has typically eaten very little. He is only 91# with an estimated bodyfat of 1.8% or less. He is very thin. His metabolism must be incredibly high. The challenge for him will be to get him to eat enough (and the right kinds) of food, for healthy weight gain. I'm hoping for the BEST!
