Hello!I have the same problem with my daughter ( 2y.3mon.).I

read in the book: Facing Autism byLynn m. Hamilton (page 212-213) that

it can be symptom of Sensory Disorders. And therapy options- Sensory Integration, AuditoryIntegration Training.I am going to try it soon .If you also canbtry something or find another good solution write me, please!Margarita To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Wednesday, January 7, 2009 9:13:00 AMSubject: tip toe - no yeast/parasites from stool anlysis

Hi Everyone, It's me again, I just got my son's stool analysis and my

doc said there's no yeast or any parasites from my son's stool.

My question is how come my son keeps on tip toeng, I thought it's

because of yeast..

Is there anything I should do?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks indeed.

Stool sample is helpful but NOT definitive.

You may want to try some of the non-prescriptive yeast treatments to see how your daughter reacts.

From what I've learned on this board, I am going to try the Oxy-C and Amla, as they seem to be exceptionally helpful.

My son stopped toe walking probably 6 months into the diet. I don't

recall seeing it since.

In my experience, toe-walking is a sign of food intolerance, usually

casein. For us, its almost always casein, and the others are during

yeast flares. DS had an infraction a few months back, and again it was

casein.

Just needed to add- stool samples don't always give you the complete

picture. DS's poop looks different often enough, so while his OAT

showed yeast byproducts, he had no yeast in his stool- lots of

bacteria though. And this was with the comprehensive, 3-day test (and

we didn't get the 'yeasty' stool!).

I asked this specific question to our DAN doctor.....our previous DAN

only did the one day stool test. Our new DAN does the three day test

and yeast only showed up in one of the three days when we got the

results. However, his OAT showed three times as much yeast overgrowth.

Our DAN said that this is why he specifically does the three day test

b/c in the one day it is so often missed. He stated that yeast is

usually not spread out throughout the stool but instead kind of

collects or bunches together. This is why they tell you when you

collect the sample to take it from several different areas of the stool

and still it can be missed. I hope this helps.
