Guest guest
Barbara, I too have just purchased a DEX Glucometer... and LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT... You can download the software for free from www.glucometer.com or I will be more than happy to e-mail it to you. The cable if you call Bayer is on sale right now for $29 they will next day air it to you as well. Enjoy Obsidian -> -> -> Gail, Where did you download the software for this Dex Glucometer? Guest guest
Obsidian, Thanks! I downloaded the software. I will probably order the cable today. I have to find time to read " how to " when the cable gets here. I also like the accuracy it tests with. It uses serum/plasma levels instead of whole blood. The lab uses these, too. This produces the most accurate results. I purchased this thinking that I could trade my current glucometer in, using Bayer's trade in program. I didn't ealize that they don't take thier own products back. It is a glucometer elite. It is 1 month old . I also have 50-75 test strips with it. If anyone knows of a place that take these, please let me know. Barb Riehl Re; Dex glucometer > -> > -> > -> > > -> > > -> > Picked up my dex glucometer yesterday. I really like it. Guest guest
Hi Barbara Do you live in the states? Because I know the cable for the dex only costs $29. I tried to purchase the cable for the glucometer dex. The company here in Canada said it costs 79.99. That's more than I paid for the dex. I think it's ridiculous, I will have to wait a bit longer to get mine. Gail Barbara Riehl wrote: > > > Obsidian, > Thanks! I downloaded the software. I will probably order the cable today. Guest guest
Gail, I live in PA. If there is any way I can help, let me know. Maybe I can purchase one for you and you can send me the money. I will in turn, send you the cable. The shipping from here to there can not be as bad as the 50.00 dif in price. Let me know, because I have not ordered mine, yet. I work 11-7 and I fell asleep before I had a chance to order. I can order Mon. Barb Re; Dex glucometer > > > -> > > > -> > > > -> > > > > -> > > > > -> > Picked up my dex glucometer yesterday. Guest guest
Gail, I misplaced the box that the strips came in, but I am a nurse in a nursing home and when we tedt the glucometer,(usually before each day), there are two values, one high and one low. The test solution should not produce results higher than the highest or lower than the lowest values. If it does, repeat the test and check the battery, etc. This usually occurs with older machines or when the solution is getting towards the bottom and is thickened. 3 diff values are usually low, norm, high.
