Guest guest
I think the answer to your question lies in the intended audience for the Eating For Life book. It is basically a recipe book that of course tries to accommodate the BFL lifestyle. However, if the ONLY market for the book was people on the BFL plan, there wouldn't be a large market. So....... The EFL book takes a 'few' liberties with the BFL approved food list. That (IMHO) is why the EFL book seems to be more liberal. Guest guest
Lori, Basically, IMHO, anything and every in moderation. In a strict sense, if you can avoid the added fat and calories, do it. Remember, this is a lifelong process, not a fad diet, so make it enjoyable by peppering in variety and taste. Otherwise, you'll be struggling to keep moving forward with your progress. -- Remember... Guest guest
EFL is a bit more realistic and liberal in the variety of foods. For the crust you are dividing that into 8 servings and you aren't eating it every meal. It really is a low calorie meal. You can use fat free syrup sweetened with Splenda and just a little fat free coolwhip doesn't have much in it. Those are kind of like condiments in my opinion. http://www.bodyforlife.com/nutrition/foodlist.asp has the list of foods.
