Guest guest
It isn't simply adrenal stress, although our adrenals are certainly overtaxed. My C-Reactive protein cardiac was 11 on a scale of 0-3 eighteen months ago. It means that we are in oxidative stress, nutritionally bankrupt, and our immune systems and metabolisms are in overwhelm... It's urgent to get good antioxidants in with solid nutritional supplementation asap. Selenium, vitamin E, vitamin C, zinc, can start to help mop up our free radicals... .... Does anyone else here have this issue? Mine has been way high since myDr. started testing it 2 years ago. However, he can't really tell me much, except that it means I have a lot of inflammation throughout mybody. Since cortisol helps control inflammation, wouldn't this just beone more indicator of adrenal issues, or is there something else that would cause this?Joy
Guest guest
Have your levels come down? If so, was it due to the supplements or treating adrenals (or both)? My CRP lab value shows normal at less than 8...my latest result was 14.8 Joy > > It isn't simply adrenal stress, although our adrenals are certainly > overtaxed. Guest guest
I hate to be the bringer of bad news... but I just got mine back, my doctor said that the inflammation is specifically in my heart... my arteries are inflammed... Look up C-Reactive protien anywhere on the internet and you will see what I mean... that's what I have been doing the last few days to see if there is anything I can do besides baby asprin and other supplements as part of my doc's protocol. She told me there is no cure for this and no way to make it go away... I have been having chest pains for 5 years now... I was always told it was anxiety... I was on two very strong anti anxiety meds... still had the chest pains, coughing, loss of breath and shooting pains down my arm... now I know why... I have known for a few years that my inflammation levels were high... this test from what I was told and what I have been reading is basically telling you that it is heart disease you are dealing with, not just inflammation of the body!!! Try and have a good day... I know personally I have been in shock since Friday... as heart disease is prevalant in my family...this only adds to the risk... ; ( Pamela Mateosian wrote: It isn't simply adrenal stress, although our adrenals are certainly overtaxed. Guest guest
Pamela, what your doctor may not know is that T3 is protective of the heart. As I have come BACK from severe Congestive Heart Failure just by building my Free T3 up I would say you need to make thyroid optimizing your priority. May doctors have no clue about T3's role in the heart, even my cardiologist had NO IDEA and he was a well respected cadio doc. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
>>Yikes!!! I'm sorry Val!!! What happened???<< basically I was dying under the care of FOUR specialists.. This is how I became quite educated in what thyroid dies in the body.. I HAD to or die! My doctors were killing me and this is why I ask people to always double check ANY thing a doc gives you., Mine were giving me Atenolol for high blood pressure, it is also a drug that is anti-thyroid, and it almost killed me. But I am tough... It is hard to kill old shoe leather! I want to agree with . My doctor said there was nothing I could do when my CRP was over 6. I started taking antioxidants and essential fatty acids and it has since come down to 3.8. I haven't tested it since starting Armour and HC, but I'm hopeful it will come down even further. W.
Guest guest
maybe it means the good things in wine that you can get in a capsule, not sure what they are called, polyphenols or something like that? -- Re: High C-Reactive Protein? While my doc told me there was nothing I could do to make it go away... Perhaps it is because I have several chronic illness??? Not sure... but, I just found this on Wikepedia... Cardiology diagnostic test C-reactive protein blood test Low risk: <1mg/L High risk: >3mg/L Cost: $US 20 How to lower: Exercise, lose weight, stop smoking, flaxseed, aspirin, niacin, statins, alcohol, clean teeth Why does it say stop smoking? But it just says alchohol??? Does that mean have a drink??? At this point.... I'm considering it!!! ; )

Guest guest
Mine is that high *with* treatment. I'm currently on 2.25 grains of Armour + 50mcg Synthroid. According to labs/symptoms/temps I am still hypo, but I am doing small increases every few weeks. Latest labs showed my TSH at 0.13 & FT3 at 3.3 (1.8-5.4). Jerks at Quest " forgot " to run FT4. Usually it is around 12%. I can say that the CRP has dropped since my initial tests two years ago. At that time it was at 27.9 (<8) and now its 14.8. Is your CRP now in the normal range? Am I hearing here that elevated CRP causes permanent damage? Joy > > Mine was high because I was UN-treated in every way. That lab was *before* I > started the adrenal support and Armour. > > ...
