Does anyone know what type of paint you should use to decorate the

helmet? Also, does any paint come off when you clean with the

alcohol?

Hello,

I'm actually having my son's helmet professionally painted this week. All I

know, they requested to keep the helmet over night to insure that the color

would not chip, peel, or crack. I'll know more details next week. My husband

is just thrilled that JT will be sporting his college logo (Notre Dame).

Hi Ann,

Welcome to the group. My favorites to use were the clear backed

stickers from the scrapbooking stores. They stayed on well and

peeled off easily once I wanted to change themes. Good luck with

your daughter's fitting. Please let us know how it goes.

Hi Ann,

My son wore his helmet for 21 weeks, and I was a nut about changing

his stickers on a regular basis. The easiet to use were the clear

backed stickers, but often I just used regular paper backed ones

(they were the ones that best fit my theme for the week) and used Goo

gone to remove the residue.

I used Suzi's Zoo white back stickers from s and the goo gone

did work when I replaced one. If you put clear finger nail polish on

around the edges, it will help keep them from lifting.

Good Luck.

Hi Ann,

Welcome to the group. My favorite stickers are the Me and My Big

Ideas ones and the brush letters by Susy Ratto. Both are clear

backed and are available at www.scrapbookbargain.com. I also use

glossy mod podge to seal them in better. There are pics of some of

the themes I have done for Hannah in the " Hannah B " folder. The

clear ones come off easiest, but you can use paper backed ones and

use a little goo gone to help get the residue off.
