Guest guest
Hi all, Sorry I haven't had time to post or read much lately, but I just got my bloodwork in from my last appointment after two weeks on no HC or Florinef and couldn't be happier. Doesn't this look beautiful? GLUCOSE 87 (65-99) SODIUM 140 (135-146) POTASSIUM 4.3 (3.5-5.3) CALCIUM 9.5 (8.5-10.4) ALDOSTERONE 13 (4-31) CORTISOL-4PM 8 (4PM range 3.0-17.0) FERRITIN 74 (10-154) FT4 1.1 (0.8-1.8) FT3 366 (230-420) TSH <0.1 (0.4-5.0) Also BP: 120/80, pulse 84, temp 98.1 In other words -- MY ADRENALS ARE WORKING ON THEIR OWN!!!! (insert happy dance here:) About a year ago the aldosterone and cortisol were just about nonexistant and my blood pressure was hanging out around 90/60. My partner looked at me like I was nuts when I said I wanted to frame the lab sheet. lol. I've also got my Ferritin up from the low 50's -- the only thing I'm wondering is if I should still keep taking the iron suppliment? What do you think? She does want me to have a bone density scan at my next visit (not for 6 months -- can you believe it??) as we go back and forth about the low TSH at every visit, but as long as insurance will cover it I'm willing to do it if only to provide more evidence that there isn't a link between low TSH and loss of bone density in people without thyroid cancer. Anyways -- just wanted to share my good news. Let me know what you think about the iron. I hope everybody is doing well. Take care, Jen
