Guest guest
The military did a study on over 100 drugs they had stockpiled and spent billions on. They had a financial interest in determining whether they had to throw these drugs out. The study was done by the FDA, and they found that most of them could be stored for 15 years or more and were still good. The expiration date is only an arbitrary date that the company guarantees the product is still OK, but they have not done anything more to test whether it could, in fact, last longer than that in storage. It's not in their financial interest to perform such a study.
