Guest guest
Dear Feisties, Tomorrow is the New England Feisty Lunch. I look forward to being there. I am recuperating successfully from my February revision surgeries with some doubts here and there which I will address in separate posts. For about six weeks after returning home my energy level was quite low. When I read other recent post revision messages by other Feisties I was amazed. Only last week did I finish reading the over 800 e-mails that were waiting for me upon my return home from rehab. I also have been overwhelmed for other reasons. Being self-employed means that the work doesn’t go away; it just waits for you. For example, in my role as property manager I came back to discover that I had six vacancies to fill at $400 each, that’s $2400 a month of lost income. I have since filled three of them. A lot of other work has piled up. I wont bore you with the details. The biggest challenge has been supporting my son who pushed the limit at his private high school and was forced to withdraw. This occurred during the first week home, talking with administrators on the phone while on oxycontin, oxicodone, elavil, etc. and feeling nauseous with no appetite. Somehow my son grew from this experience, transferred his credits and took enough courses at the local high school to graduate yesterday. We attended the ceremonies at both his old and new schools yesterday and today. He and we, as parents, have a sense of completion now, which we thought, only two months ago, was lost. I hope to participate more. Please, don’t be surprised if I respond to a thread that was started months ago. So long, ----------------------------------------------------------------- >>From: " valerie_delaney " <rjdelaney8@...> >>Reply- >> >>Subject: Has anyone heard from ? >>Date: Tue, 02 Mar 2004 13:37:06 -0000 >> >>--- Hi All - Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about ? >>I've been wondering how he made out? >> from RI >> >

Guest guest
Hi, I had to cancel the June 14th surgery. The stress of going to my daughters high school graduation and festivites associated with that, leaving the next day for Atlanta....and trying to go to my stepsons high school graduation 4 days after the surgery as well as my daughters college orientation June 26/27.....made me feel like I was trying to do to much in June...and not allow enough time for " relaxed " healing. The college orientation was not the problem but because it is the end of June....I have had to delay the surgery until July. Currently I am scheduled July 11th, 12th. ad 13th. My Dad is dying from lung cancer...and not doing well now at all..he is on Bridge Hospice. I just hope I can keep this new appointment. Lifes responsibilities and obligations sometimes just plain long gets in the way!!!!!!!! > > She was scheduled to see Dr. Kolb on 14June06 and I'm curious to know how things went. Aside of that, she's right here in Atlanta! > I think everyone should just come to Dr. Kolb (even though I've never met the woman) At least I'm here to help in any way that I can. It sure beats doing this alone! >
Guest guest
, I'm terribly sorry to hear about your father . . . Is he in the end stage of lung cancer? . . I think you're doing the right thing in postponing your surgery . . . Your plate was already full! Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
Rogene, Almost a year ago, he was had cancer in his left lobe, had surgery to take part of his left lobe, went thru radiation, decided not to do the chemo...etc. Just about a month and half ago...it was found in his right lobe. The doctor told him surgery was not an option, nor was anymore radiation and to go home and take care of his affairs.......etc. Complicating the cancer has been progressive neuropathy in both legs...and he had been walking with a walker. Since the new diagnosis, he has gone downhill quickly. Is in a wheelchair, has someone come to bath him and is on Bridge HOspice. Once we loose hope I think it happens that way. I don't think he is yet in end stage...but considering how quickly he went from going out to lunch to a wheelchair (matter of weeks)...I think we are looking at just months. He has given up. Thank you so much for asking. > > , > > I'm terribly sorry to hear about your father . . . Is he in the end stage of lung cancer? . . Guest guest
- Wow You have had alot on your plate recently. I know how stressful graduations can be--my daugher just graduated high school a few weeks ago too. You probably made a good decision rescheduling it until july. I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Your stress level must be pretty high right now. Please try to take good care of yourself in the meantime. Stress can bring our health down faster than just about anything. I wil be praying for you and your dad. Hugs, Kathy -- In , " sedwards41255 " <sedwards41255@...> wrote: > > Hi, > I had to cancel the June 14th surgery. Guest guest
, Do you think he would try Natural Cellular Defense? . . . In the single study they did . . . something like 78% of Stage IV cancer patients went into remission over the period of one year. Here's a website about it . . http://www.newstarget.com/015232.html I've been taking it . . . I'll have to admit I'm doing it on faith, because it tastes almost like water . . and I take very little . . But, if this will keep cancer from reoccuring, I'm game! The woman who recommended it to me is a nurse who is using it to treat patients . . . She's seen outstanding results. I'd be happy to put you in touch with her. Guest guest
Oh thank you so much Kathy. Yes, I was disappointed to have to rescheduled...even looked into another doctor closer to home because of all the stuff going on. But there is just this little part of me..that while I have not met Dr. Kolb....just feels...that she has some instincts into the implant situation. The other doctors I looked into simply wanted to take them out.....and weren't really interested in the whole health issue. > > > > > > She was scheduled to see Dr. Kolb on 14June06 and I'm curious to > > know how things went. Guest guest
, I'm sorry to hear about your father. I know what it's like to have a parent that's terminally ill. I'm so sorry, I know that it is very painful especially after they've given up hope. Maybe I'll see you in July. My surgery is scheduled for July 12th. Take care and I hope that everything works out for you. Hugs, Gigi > > > > She was scheduled to see Dr. Kolb on 14June06 and I'm curious to > know how things went. Guest guest
Rogene, I really have no idea if he will or not. But I will certainly print off the material and give it to him. Thank you so much for thinking of him and of me. He has pretty much given up. I lost my mom in 2002...and she was truly my best friend. Dad had about 2 good years before he started to get sick. He is 82 years old. Not to ramble...but...watching my mom die was when the fragility of life really hit home. Not that I did not know it prior to that. Watching her die was when I saw the rest of my life in the palm of my hand. The shortness of it(life) staggered me. I was 47 when she died. Sorry guys....didn't mean to get morbid on you!!! > > , > > Do you think he would try Natural Cellular Defense? . . . Guest guest
Gigi, If you are having your physical the day before your surgery...I should be down there that day having my consult. My husband and I plan on being there the day before. We are staying at the Residence Inn. Where will you be staying?? I would love to connect with you . I may try to call Kolbs office to see if I can get in earlier but after June 27th. This waiting is driving me nuts!!. > > > > > > She was scheduled to see Dr. Kolb on 14June06 and I'm curious to > > know how things went.
