Guest guest
Hi Jim,Thanks for the kind words. Now I just have to muster the courage to go over to the corner store he runs and take him aside and ask him when a good time to talk would be. Whatever condition he has, hit him right after he reopened the store, and on top of restoring a business, he then had to take care of an ailing father; his life got really complicated. I know his time is stretched and precious, but he is precious to our community and I feel morally obligated to speak, just as someone felt morally obligated to speak to me of Lyme (thank God).I think I'll piece together a couple posts that frame n's situation and have it handy to show him, (no names mentioned) and hope the right words come.I'm feeling very sad right now. Whatever I do, I'll do it in n's name.Be well,Léna Hi Lena, Many believe ALS is end stage Lyme... Sadly, n was not dxd early on, but only after his illness was well along. Certainly the medical community in Oz is no better than our own at dxing and treating Lyme, but they do seem to understand ALS much better, but unfortunately the disease is well along by then... You are very good at communicating, talk to your friend and share your knowledge. Those of us in the know are better equipped to help others compared to doctors who still don't seem to understand what Lyme is all about. Guest guest
Hi all, I am very sorry to hear of his loss! I don't think I ever got to speak to him. I may have read a post a while ago. May I ask how old he was? Was he treating with alternatives or going to a main stream doc. It is so sad.........I have been thinking about it a lot the past few days. Guest guest
Hi Aimee, Thanks for posting this.. I think some of us knew bits and pieces about n's story, but this makes it very clear.. Everyone says he was a great contributor, he was... As ill as he was, he did his best to help others by providing information he knew about. When I was rebitten in March, about a month later I posted terrible fatigue, that I had somehow lowered it before, but was confused about what I did... n posted and remined me it was MMS... That was such a small thing for him to post, but it helped me immensely... I then knew what I had to do.. I sure do miss him... Again, thanks for posting this...
