Part of free speech is the freedom to tell someone they are wrong. Without this freedom, it isn't free speech. This freedom in the US's 1st Amendment was intended to allow citizens to tell the government that the government was *WRONG* and to do so without vague uncertainties. It was not intended to allow people to say things without the possibility of being told they are wrong. --
Guest guest
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been having some issues with the flame mails and I am minutes away from unsubscribing. I didn't join to read people's arguments with each other, I joined to be amongst people that I can actually fit in with. I imagine the voices behind the e-mails that I read, and right now I am rapidly sinking into depression! There is entirely too much yelling going on! Louis In my house " normal " is only a setting on the dryer. From: ladybearuk56 Hi IM FAIRLY NEW TO THIS GROUP BEEN JOINED ABOUT 4 WEEKS. I have been reading up on messeges, and at times got totally lost who said what to whom and tried to puzzle things out! On joining the group i read this in the intro Description Category: Other This is a place for all autistic spectrum adults (Asperger's Syndrome, High-Functioning Autism, PDD-NOS, et cetera) to say whatever is on their minds. There will be no censorship or moderation, but personal attacks are off-limits. This list/group is for people on the spectrum only, not for normal parents of autistic children. I have if i havent read wrongly seen just the opposite. I shall say this the once i speak my mind , but do not ever take personal pot shots !!!! Who are we to judge one another! Autism , aspergers are labels we are given for medical and educational reasons , not to be argued who is or who isnt, worthy or unworthy of a label. And yes their are people out their who may be genuine in offering the chance of help in the form of certain educational help , but their are those also that are not genuine. Autism for me personally is a way of life, not to be alterd to suit anyone or anything, it is a way of being, and the sooner we and others except this ,the better we can all find ways of relating and communicating ,and enjoying one anothers company online or in reality. Ok some people do feel they are correct even if they are not , so what! no big deal , soon enough they will find out facts and realise they were not! Hope this is understood in the way its been written , not to offend , but to say USE SUGAR NOT SALT , my dad used to say --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.745 / Virus Database: 497 - Release Date: 8/27/
