There are Raging Grannies all over the country, including

a group here in Seattle.

Yeah, I was going to put in a little note, like,

(check it out, Jane), but I figured you'd already

heard about them. No, not anything related to age,

but because of their anti-war objective. In " About

Us " , it said there are over 60 " gaggles of grannies "

across Canada and the US. Are you a big reader of

Maureen Dowd and Molly Ivins? I can enjoy them in

our local newspaper.

And here, on the three year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, they

somehow forgot to mention *that* senseless killing. Going after the

people in Afghanistan that had a part in this is *not* senseless.

> Chorus: No more military action

Right! We'll just let anyone run roughshod over us. Next time someone

flies a plane into a building, we'll beg the terrorists for forgiveness,

and ask them how we can possibly make up for the wrong WE have done to

THEM. We'll just forget about the thousands of Americans they kill.

They are using nukes? I must have missed that.

Yeah! War never solved anything! Oh, except the Holocaust, slavery,

ethnic cleansing...

You find it inspiring that a country was attacked once by terrorists,

and they gave in? Capitulating to terrorists is good? Spain made a

huge mistake there-- all the world's terrorists know that Spain will do

whatever terrorists want if you kill a few Spaniards. Just do whatever

the nice terrorists say and everything will be fine. Hooo-kay.

Destroy, exploit, and kill. Sure. Not defend. Do I have to remind

these people about who started this war three years ago today?

World War II could have been prevented if everyone had just let Hitler

do whatever he wanted. I am sure that would have been a LOT better to

these oldsters, right? War can always be prevented if you're willing to

bend over for anyone that wants to conquer, steal, or kill. We could

have avoided the War of 1812 by surrendering to the English invaders...

why not?

I'm not very familiar with M. Dowd, but I read M.Ivins

in " The Progressive " (a monthly magazine).
