I think it should rock.

Ooooooh,

I like it.

I wanted it to move and yet not be dangerous if someone wasn't really

careful. I am sort of thinking of making the " head " of the one I am

designing now so that it could sort of rotate up and down, but I

couldn't have other people monkeying with it, it might fall on their

foot as it is now.

Maybe I can do one like you suggest later. I'll name it " Clay " .

Hi,

That's interesting. I learned that the thinker is actually part of a

larger scupture that was done in pieces. It was a huge doorway. The

thinker was at the top over the door. He represented God as judge, if

I remember, right.

The same pose was used in Romanesque churches in France to represent

God...if I remember right. Maybe they got it from Romania.

:-)

If I can, eventually I want to do one with fingers that are made of

wind chime rods, the aluminum looking ones. I love the sound and if

the arms or hands could move in some way they could tinkle. I'd like

to do something like with crystals...something sparkly, but not cheap

looking. Haven't figure that one out. Thanks for the ideas.

Can it spin?

Perhaps the spinning can cause it to produce a sound

I dont' think spinning makes the right motion for wind chimes. I'm

sort of thinking like a back and forth motion or a twisting back and

forth around a central axis. Also it could be that the body would

stay still and just some part of the arm would be motorized,

preferably with a wind-up mechanism. Don't want to do an electric

cord. Batteries would be a pain.

Maybe a solar panel on it's head? :-)

I'd like to have a guy who looks like he is hold a spinning doodad in

front of his eyes (for a later one..that is if I don't lose interest

in them). That involves cantilevering a bent arm shape. not sure if

I'm ready for that. :-)

Think Picasso's cubism period with different textures...No, don't. That

would further the " puzzle " myth, right? I knoww, Autism is...

Your nieghbor, mailman, anyone as normal as you, me the candlestickmaker!

But making a normal person is just boring . You got me stumped.

I put a simple drawing of it in the photos section here, in the " art "

file.

It will end up slightly more sophisticated looking than that...but I

want it too look like a child's drawing or toy. I want it to lean to

one side and be counter balanced by something it will hold at the end

of a cable from it's arm...the arm is going to be...maybe...a copper pipe.

He's A for Arthur and A for autism.

Arthur is from:

Arthur Stroud names clouds aloud, just for the joy of hearing

" cumulonimbus " .

Arthur the sculpture is looking up into the sky.

It's about 4 feet high...if it works. I want to tint the concrete,

too, maybe a dark gray.
