I do enjoy most of the people on the post-op group as well but have been enjoying this group more. I feel more comfortable and more wanted here. I also very much like seeing the different faces on the front page of the group. Its about everyone and not just one that is so great...Also Robyn really makes this group lots of fun and very exciting. I love the contests and love the card exchanges because of all of you guys we got more Christmas cards this year then we have ever gotten.. Hugs, <pinkie> who passes the soap box to the next person LOL
Guest guest
Peach, For the record, I dont have a problem with the post op group. No one has ever done anything to me there except support me. I dont care for that group for one reason, which is mechanical....its TOO BIG! If I ask a question, and leave for work, when I get home and try to find any replies they are 5 pages back LOL I finally stopped posting because I didn't have the luxury of having enough time to keep up. They can cover a topic in 20 minutes flat and be on to something else! I am still a member because I believe there is a ton of valuable information that can be found there and also because if I do have a question, and have time to commit to following up for the answer, there are more opinions and out looks on that list. I didn't say that because the other one didn't that made that group bad in some way. Its just more personal here. I also think that our size makes it much easier to keep up with everyone. I had a hard time remembering who was who ..which made it hard to support others on the other list. There were an aweful lot of Carols, Kats, Jens etc. I like that I know so much personal information about so many on this list. You all have become my family. :-) Kat peaches wrote: ok gonna try this a second time ... i messed up the first time and lost it... just to add to my last post about other groups that i belong to... i also belong to the post op group and many here do also... even if they dont visit it often ect... i firmly believe that each group has issues and each group is only as good as the sum of its members... I love the post op group and will support it forever, it was there for me when i needed help and i wont forget that, even when i dont agree with things... I do speak up and fight for what i think is right... please dont allow this group become a place to talk bad about any other group... this is a wonderful support group with wonderful members... ok i have spoken my mind and putting the soap box back under jodi's BB's BED! love hugs and happy new year! ~peach~ To visit your group on the web, go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GastricBypass-LOSERS/
Guest guest
Hi Ladies -- I'll the be the controversial one here... I went no-mail on the post-op group for a couple reasons... 1 -- size. I was on dial-up service at the time, and 250 e-mails a day were too much to deal with. 2 -- attitude. It became obvious that only 'popular' viewpoints were accepted. If one had anything even remotely controversial, one would be blasted. 3 -- Double standard. If you have a popular viewpoint, flaming those that have opposing views seemed to be acceptable. I am currently still a member of the post-op group (although I may get kicked off jsut for this...), because I agree there is some GREAT information, and it can be a source for wonderful information from a variety of people living the life. Anyway -- I don't want to get nasty about the whole thing, but I too appreciate that any topic can be discussed here, without the anger and hate-emails being sent. I hope all have a great New Years' celebration. I love you all -- well, most of you...(just kidding!!!!) and hope for 2005 to be spectacular and joyfilled and successful in all yur endeavors! God's blessings... Jodi P.S. -- Peachy -- I appreciate you putting the soap box back under my bed so we all know where to find it! =| :> ) Katharine wrote: Peach, For the record, I dont have a problem with the post op group.
