Guest guest
It sure sounds as if you need more HC, but to be sure do a temp graph per instructions found at www.drrind.com for about 4 - 5 days and then post your results. If there is more than .02 degrees difference in the daily averages, you need more HC. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Val, I haven't been taking my temperature this last week, but my temperature chart before that shows fluctions of from .04 to over a whole degree. Do you think maybe I should go ahead and increase my second does of H/C to 10 mg? (Currently takinng 10, 5, 5 should I go to 10,10,5)? elyse > It sure sounds as if you need more HC, but to be sure do a temp graph > per instructions found at www.drrind.com for about 4 - 5 days and then > post your results. Guest guest
OK, I'll increase it. After I've done 10, 10, 5 for four or five days, would I go 10, 10, 10 ? Doe anyone go more than 30 mg a day? I thought that was the max. elyse >>> (Currently takinng 10, 5, 5 should I go > to 10,10,5)?<< > > With those fluctuations, I sure would. Guest guest
Maybe I don't need thyroid any more or at least a lot less? (I takeone grain a day, split in two doses). How long have you held this low dose of Armour? How can I figure out what Ineed to do? chart your temp as suggests. I get panicky and anxious about the littlest things, Ican't get anything accomplished. It'll get better eventually. Not easy sometimes to figure out what to fix...but it'll happen. ;-) Hang in there and keep posting your progress/questions. .... elyse

Guest guest
, I've never taken more than one grain of armour. Do you think it's low? I'm even wondering if I should back off of what I'm taking. elyse > > Maybe I don't need thyroid any more or at least a lot less? Guest guest
Oh, Elyse! One grain is LOW. Most people need 3-5 grains to be healthy--and anxiety is a hypo symptom, so that may be a BIG part of your problem. Deborah macedgeca wrote: > , > I've never taken more than one grain of armour. Guest guest
Interesting, I thought anxiety was from too much thyroid or too low H/C, but I can see how either side of the pendulum can cause the same symptoms. The thing is, I'm confused about what to do next.... increase H/C or thyroid? elyse > Oh, Elyse! One grain is LOW. Guest guest
Hold for one month? Guest guest
I'm vague on just where you are--can you give me a quick summary? You're on one grain Armour? For how long? How much HC? You're at 20mg? For how long? Did you decrease or stop the Armour while increasing the HC? Guest guest
That's only until you get to 20mg. Hold there for at least a month to see if it'll be enough for you--it is, for most people. Guest guest
>>I thought we would hold for less than a week.<< Over 20MG a day you want to hold the raises longer. You only want to take JUSTenough HC not more than you need. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I know this is the ADRENALS list but I think that holding one grain of Armour for too long is part of your problem... The files of the main NTH list have a couple of articles that are very informative. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormones/files/ or http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/mistakes-patients-make/ I think you might need to hold your H/C dose while you look at adjusting your Armour. Just my .02 .... ,I've never taken more than one grain of armour. Do you think it'slow? I'm even wondering if I should back off of what I'm taking. elyse
Guest guest
HI Deborah, I've been keeping records, so I'll post where I've made changes. I've been on armour for quite a while before starting with this group. I was taking 1 grain all at one time in the morning whenever I woke (different every day). I'm now taking it close to the same time every day. sometime in May 2006, I switched from 1 grain in the am to split dose half and half May 23 started H/C June 2 went off thyroid temporarily until I got H/C up a bit. Was extremely hyper, totally sleepless at night. Jun 14 back on armour, only half grain in am Jun 18 reached 20mg of H/C per day (10, 5, 5) Jun 23 to now - have been trying second dose of armour on again off again, trouble with it making me hyper even though I'm still tired I know that ultimately I need more thyroid, I have extreme neck and shoulder pain associated with low thyroid, but it's very confusing which to increase first. I really appreciate any help in trying to sort this out. Thanks, Elyse > I'm vague on just where you are--can you give me a quick summary? > You're on one grain Armour? For how long? How much HC? Guest guest
, I'm interested in your input too. I've managed to get confused about what to to do first, increase H/C or armour? My anxiety levels are very high (incapacitating), neck and shoulder pain are very high as well, and my daily temperature averages fluctuate quite a bit. Below is when I started on H/C and what changes I've made with it and armour. I'd appreciate your advice. Before I started on this group, I was taking 1 grain all at one time when I woke up. May 2006, I switched from 1 grain in the am to split dose half and half May 23 started H/C June 2 went off thyroid temporarily until I got H/C up a bit. Thanks, Elyse

Thanks,<< if that extra Armour is giving you hyper symptoms at this low dose, it is not true hyper but adrenal fatigue. You need more HC, and give that a week or two to work before trying an Armour increase again. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
