Guest guest
Hi Elda, I remember you - remember me? I had my tr after what seemed like an eon of waiting 3 1/2 weeks ago!!! We are glad to have you aboard!!! I know you will love it here! Hart - 32 DH Jon - 37 DD Arianne - 14 DD a - 6 DS - 2 TL 6/16/98 TR 6/4/01 ~ Dr. Levin 8 cm right side ~ 9 cm left side Setting TR Date Hello Everyone!! I'm new to this group and I have to say that I really like what I have seen. I've kind of been reading and watching other groups/clubs and they do not measure up to this one. A little history on me, although, it's very much like everyone elses. I had my tubal ligation at the age of 22, thinking that that marriage would last forever. Of course it didn't. My kids are now 16 & 11 and have a wonderful husband, who has no biological kids of his own. We have been trying to have a baby for the past year and a half. At the urging of an RE(Reproductive Endocrinologist) we tried IVF and subsequently an FET, which both failed. I guess the only thing we lost there was time because my insurance paid for that. Now we want to try doing the TR. I was lucky enough to come across Dr. Levin's website and was totally impressed with it. I had been researching TR's for a while and nothing hit me like his website. So here we are now, waiting to do a 2nd mortgage on our home to consolidate our bills and get the cash for the TR. We'll be closing this mortgage by the end of this week and hope to set a date for the TR with in the next couple of weeks. Anyone out there that would be able & willing to buddy up with me, please let me know. My email is renadi4@.... Sorry to be so wordy. In advance, I thank you all for your support and kind words and of course Dr. Levin for his outstanding and wonderful professionalism. Guest guest
Hello , Of course I remember you. I kept track of your dates and prayed for you the day of your reversal. I was a lurker on the other site, then I came across this one and I really like it. If you remember my DH & I were having a hard time with the failed IVF & all so we got to talking and worked our feelings through so we are back on track. I really WANT this baby for the both of us. Now I can say I really am ready for one. I was only 17 when I had my son and was kind of thrown into it but NOW I want this one for my and DH just as much as for myself. Glad to have a friend(s) here!! Elda > Hi Elda, I remember you - remember me? I had my tr after what seemed like an eon of waiting 3 1/2 weeks ago!!! We are glad to have you aboard!!! I was told that you have to be on the BUDDY LIST before you're given any credit. Who has this list? Is it posted somewhere? Who do we " talk " , " email " to, to see this list? Is there a link to it? I'm sending in my $$ tomorrow and would really appreciate the information on how this works. Guest guest
Elda, sorry to butt in, but we took 200 minute calling cards, and used them up from calling everyone, so take lots!! We left that Thursday following the surgery on Monday, and we drove 800+ miles, and I was fine, so I think you will be just great! Best wishes to you and your soon to be restored fertility!!! Dance like no one is watching; Sing like you know the words; Love like you've never been hurt. I'll definitely take one with lots of minutes LOL. How long did you stay after surgery? I'm planning on flying back the 18th which is 2 days post op. Should be ok? I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that has gone alone. Hugs, Elda
Guest guest
I know!! I am so excited for you!!! I remember the 2 weeks before we left for Louisville, every day was at least a year long - LOL! Hang in there and we can't wait to hear your outcomes!! By the way, you can go to the Louisville library to post if you want - I did every day after the tr until we left. If you are up to it, that is!! They have Internet access there. We took the laptop, but the darn plug was broken and would connect for all of 2 minutes and slip out, so we had to go to the library. It is only a couple of miles from the hotel, just down from the Galleria. I can't remember the name of the street, but Dr. Levin can give you directions. Also, you may need Wal Mart while you are there for some stuff - it is over the bridge off of I-65 in Indiana (about 6 minutes away), and I swear we made the trip there at least 6-7 times! LOL! Also, you will have gas pains afterwards...pack some Phazyme - it is wonderful, and don't go out and try to eat Mexican food the following day like I did! My gas pains were so bad I was doubled over and finally had to call Dr. Levin, who told me that even though I hated the idea, and enema would help. It did, much as I hate to admit it! Are you having inpatient or outpatient? We did inpatient, since I have a history of uterine infections after each of my 3 c-sections. Coming from so far away, too, we figured with the infection factor it would be safer to stay the night. Everyone was wonderful, from checking in to being released back to the Inn. The one nurse even came in my room at 3am, since she knew I was starving after my surgery, to see if I wanted some ice cream! I did, too!! Either way you go, everyone will treat you wonderfully!! Well, best wishes to you, and I can't wait to hear how it goes!!!
