 DESCRIPTION

General Learning Communications is seeking experienced health and medical

writing professionals to develop a series of Lesson Plans and Lecture Outlines

to

accompany existing health occupation textbooks.

The writing assignment involves becoming familiar with the contents of the

assigned chapters and creating Lesson Plans and Lecture Outline/Power Point

Slides (highlighting key points from a chapter and adding brief teaching tips.

Writing guidelines and a template are available.

This project begins in September and the first phase will be completed in

mid-November. An estimated 20 hours of work each week are required to

successfully complete the assigned chapters. Writers will work from their own

offices and

transmit the completed work via Internet.

 

 REQUIREMENTS

Experienced writers, preferably with more than 4 years of writing experience

should also have a strong background in a health or medical occupation;

nursing and medical assisting backgrounds are preferred along with experience in

education, either teaching or curriculum development. Candidates must be

proficient in MSWord, simple style templates and have a working knowledge of

PowerPoint. Concise writing and editing skills are required with the ability to

clearly

define the key points of each textbook chapter. Writers must be able to meet

critical weekly deadlines.
