Guest guest
When I had my scope done by Dr. Levin last year, I was out of outpatient by 1:00 and heading home. He made a video of my scope and it was really interesting because you can view your ovaries and uterus and tubes. It did cause some major gas afterwards. Best I can remember, I had to be at the outpatient pretty early, 6:00am. Question? I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Levin. I was shocked that he called me at home and I told him that and he laughed. He sounds like such a sweet caring man. Anyway he received my reports and told me that they removed 1.0 on the right and 1.2 on the left. Since I had an ectopic after that and the records have been destroyed he said I need a laparoscopy of which I intend for him to perform. So here is my question. Does anyone know how long the procedure is? When I should fly in and when I can leave? Does it hurt? What exactly do they do? How long does recovery take? etc. etc. Okay so I said question instead of questions but they just popped into my head...lol. Thank you to those who responded to my earlier post about dh. I am feeling much better!!!!! Nina R.
Guest guest
The procedure usually takes about 1 1/4 hours - mine took almost 2 hours because my tubes were located very high and all my old scar tissue from 3 prior c-sections was very hard. Recovery took about 2 hours. I am not sure how soon he would suggest flying home, though...we did the inpatient thing. If you haven't read my entire TR story (pretty detailed) let me know, I have it on my e-mail at home and would be more than willing to send it to you...it'll give you a good idea of what to expect as it happens. Guest guest
Good Morning group... Thanks to each of you who replied...it is of some comfort just to know that he's still " on track " even though he's experiencing some difficulties. I will definitely tell him to give the celery a try. Late yesterday afternoon he became quite angry with the entire situation...he's so frustrated, which I can understand...his biggest problem is that he's terribly afraid that this is the way his life will always be. That thought really frightens him & ticks him off! ...he is still taking 10 mg. He will have been on that dosage for 1 week tomorrow (Tuesday). I'm wondering should we keep him at 10 mg. for a while longer? Increase it? Lower it? I have one more question for those of you who work...What did you do during this period of time? There's no way under God's green earth that could hold a job right now...what do people do? He does live with us, but he has bills, and child support to pay...I thought about looking into some sort of disability, but wouldn't he need a doctor to validate what's happening? Since we all know most doctors don't believe these drugs are the problem...What do people do? We'd appreciate any input. Blessings!
