Gloria would ask him the questions..he'd point to what he wanted her to write and she wrote it for him. He wouldn't let her read it...just carried it around the house all afternoon. He's sleeping now...so I got to read it... SAM AND HIS FAVORITE PEOPLE Sam has speech with Kathy Sam loves his mommy Sam has a brother named Alec Alec plays cars with Sam Sam tells Daddy good bye. I live in Georgia and I believe from what I've been reading tonight that Caleb was in Abie's class last year with Kay. He had Gloria the year before. There can only be one set of Sam and Abie's with mom Terri! Count your blessings at - we're at Lane this year and hitting problems already. Any way, does anyone out there want me to call Terri and see if Ron really makes his own coffee?????????? Ron My husband calls me the rebel- can't help it, I just don't respect someone b/c of a position. They have to earn my respect. Caleb's teacher this year is a GREAT person but she's taught pe for the past 14 years and has never had any academic experience. We've just figured out that the parapro is doing all of the teaching b/c " she's got homeschooling experience " . That's great and wonderful but what worked for her nt children does not work with my Caleb. - but if we piss the school off then our only other economical solution is the send his to Burgard- my teacher friends tell me to NEVER do that. His teacher got her TEEACH training this summer but right now we are concerned about academics. Why is anyone without a special ed degree getting TEEACH training on my tax dollar?????????? I know the principal over there but I still don't think I'd want to go that route....I think some of the previous kids are there, tho, wonder how they're doing? As for pissing off the school, I wouldn't worry as much about that as I would getting what Caleb needs...bottom line is they have to provide HIM with a free & appropriate education, you don't have to provide them with jack. Though I do think it pays to be nice, at least until it's time not to be nice. I wouldn't even think about changing schools either until I had gotten the present school to do some changing...how is his IEP? Is he meeting any of his goals? You said in your other post that you're seeing social problems now without ...are they addressing those? Keep being that rebel if that's what you need to do for Caleb...and if they don't like it & they get pissed, they'll get over it. Or die that way, as my grandma used to say. <g> P.S.
