Guest guest
Hi again, Rhonda! Online posts are like shooting stars ... there can be so much insight in them, which stems from so many hours of finger-sticking, recording, and bravery. And yet they disappear in a flash! I like sharing selected posts from one group to another because the wisdom that arises from all our personal experiences should have a longer life. This is a very nice group. Over here diabetics actually don't yell and abuse each other!! hahahahaha Hugs, Susie

I have considered applying but you get in a double whammy if you can't go to the dr you are not documented etc. >> And they don't consider diabetes a disability ... only the complications of it. She was having trouble with the glucophage too. that's right high no matter what and she kept increasing the glucophage and the stomach kept getting worse I couldn't eat it hurt so bad if I ate the upper abdoman turned in to a rock. the stuff was going to kill me one way or another and she (the dr) couldn't get that into her head --- Carolyn D. (those great big green olives with the pits in) Or nuts? Check the carb counts on the nut can labels for the lowest carb variety. Pretzels are pretty carby. You can also munch on fresh veggies dipped in guacamole, for crunch and juiciness and vitamins and the yummy tang of the dip. Susie
Guest guest
Carolyn, I don't think the Bernstein book is on tape (yet!). But he does have a website -- I don't remember the address unfortunately but maybe someone else on the list has it. Vicki Maybe you could get your husband to read it to you? I'm about convinced from a diabetic study I read involving Italian subjects who relied heavily on olive oil (soaking their bread in it, etc.) that that is the secret to their good health. Just eating a few olives does such a great job of moisturing my lips, I'm about ready to try olive oil in the bath water! Susie

I was preparing a long list of my favorite URLs when a notice on one of them froze me up and I had to reboot.
