Guest guest
Hi, Actually, the really good plastic surgeons know how your breasts will turn out and do the surgery at the same time. Check our list for the recommend surgeons near you. There is absolutely no need for a second surgery, and the resulting trauma to your body. Many women find they do not need a lift. I know several doctors do some internal stitching to help raise the breast and avoid the need for a lift. If you needed a lift prior to your implants, however, you may need one. Guest guest
Lynda's suggestion was good . . . If you were saggy before implants, you'll probably want a lift. . . If you weren't saggy to begin with, if your skin is still elastic and your implants weren't very large, you'll probably do fine without a lift. Experienced surgeons can usually tell if a lift will be needed. Doing a lift at the same time shouldn't cause any problems. . . . I don't recall any woman who's complained about that issue. . . We have had a few who wish they had gotten a lift though. Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Hi my explanting PS told me the same thing, and I did not have a lift. I actually don't think a lift would have helped me anyway. I am 7 months post explant, and I don't really expect much change from here on. They are okay, but mine were not under the muscle so around the nipples have not gone back to normal. That's my experience, and what your doctor said sounds reasonable to me too. When is your surgery? Cherie > > Hi all > Thanks for being here. > My surgeon says he will remove the capsule. Guest guest
Hi Cherie... My surgery is scheduled for June 12th..... I am really anxious for the day to arrive..... Did you see any improvements of any of your symptons shortly thereafter ....or did it take some time......? > > > > Hi all > > Thanks for being here. > > My surgeon says he will remove the capsule. Guest guest
well, I had some relief initially and got very excited about that, only to slip back into an even worse cycle of pain. I was discouraged at times, but determined to detox and to regain health, trying to convince my immune system that the implants really were gone forever. At six months is when I noticed the most improvement - very significant improvement. I think that we can get well, but I also think that the lifestyle changes (organic diet, exercise, sauna, supplements, etc.) are going to have to continue for the rest of our lives, and maybe that's not such a bad thing. I have learned so much about healthy eating, and I pray every day that God will show me what to eat and what to stay away from, and what to feed my family too. You are taking the biggest and most important step towards getting well - getting those toxic bags out! The months following surgery will be a journey for you as you get to know yourself, things that make you physically ill and what helps you, and learning to accept your new/old figure and forgive yourself for getting them in the first place. I don't think I will ever forget the painful years or take feeling good for granted. I hope this encourages you - it won't be an easy road, getting the implants out is step number one (the most important step)! Be prepared to make a lifelong comittment to healthy living. I'll be praying for you as your big day approaches! Cherie > > > > > > Hi all > > > Thanks for being here. > > > My surgeon says he will remove the capsule. Guest guest
---Cherie, I kind of agree about having the lift later. It seems like alot to go through at once. My skin bounces back quite well after surgery and I'd like to see what happens naturally. Then if I need more surgery, I'll do that. I guess it's different for everyone. What do you think? Guest guest
I didn't need a lift, although I only had them for six months so that probably had something to do with it. It's good to hear that the surgeon has experience with explants, because there are alot of Plastic Surgeons who refuse to explant unless you're putting in new implants. Guest guest
Yes...I think I can wait on the lift as that is more cosmetic. For now...I am trying to get the procedure done correctly. Thanks for your thoughts. > > Hi there > > Not everyone needs a lift.... Guest guest
I think you are right about the cells having " memory " . I think our immune cells have been in a protective mode for so long that it's going to take some convincing to get them to calm down and start reacting normally again. This sounds like I'm taking about a person, doesn't it? Sounds like you already are off to a good start with your diet and exercise. I have had the tendency to over-exercise in recent years, not understanding why I was gaining weight, despite exercise and diet. I realize now that over exercise is a stressor to our already stressed immune systems, and it wasn't helping. I gave up jogging for a while and stuck with brisk walking my dog, now that I'm feeling better I have been adding small amounts of jogging and biking again. I am sure you have told us, and I'm sorry if I missed it, but what are your symptoms, and how long have you had the implants? Guest guest
Hi Sunny I see you have gotten sever differing opinions on the lift. I think you are right about it being different for everyone, and you have to do what you feel the most peace with. Though my breasts aren't too pretty right now, a lift for me would not have been the answer. Cherie > > > > > > Hi all > > > Thanks for being here. > > > My surgeon says he will remove the capsule.
