I just wanted to announce went to the Endocrinologist recently for

his 6 month check. After 13 years of growth hormone injections, he finally

hit the " normal " range on the growth chart (he was " ON " at birth at 8#1oz).

Granted, he is on the 2 percentile, but nevertheless, he is on. That was

the good news....the bad news is he may have to continue growth hormone for

the rest of his life. Recent studies have shown growth hormone keeps the

bones strong (prevents osteoporosis) as well as the heart.

For all of you who have been lucky to find out about the

Testosterone injections at an early age, your kids may be luckier than

. It was the testosterone, that really pushed his growth this past

year.

Hi!

was below reference range on 4 of 5 tests for growth hormone

(GH) deficiency and we are waiting to hear the results of the final

test to confirm that he is GH deficient and start treatment. We

were informed of the importance for preventing osteoporosis, but not

of the lifetime injections : o. We were also told that there is now

evidence that boys who receive tesosterone as infants have a better

overall prognosis for adult penile size.
