Guest guest
I think everyone is trying to make informed decisions based on info that at least appears to be unbiased. What we are getting here is 1 or 2 people that no matter what folks try or suggest they criticize and claim that active h cures everything from hep to broken hearts . I'm sure there's more people that are using it and may be getting good results if so let's here from them. I posted this question over 2 weeks ago and so far haven't had any results to speak of.. I've also looked for other sites that offer info, I've found a couple that might have been neg. including 1 that had a report of a death linked to active h, but I can't access them. When I try to open them I get a pop up or 2 then my computer locks up .I have to unplug it and start up again. This is enough in itself to make me leary. If I could get some response from a few people that seemed to be open minded and fair I might try it but as of now probaly not!! Guest guest
Hey Pumpboz....I understand, but try it you'll like it. But, no, seriously, the way I see it, if a person or people have had good results with a particular "treatment" ,and they are so happy about it; so passionate about it...they want to share their good fortune; and they want everyone to at least try it, and maybe, just maybe, their condition will improve...I see nothing wrong with that. The way I understand it ,is this...it is not "just" Active H, but a whole program and procedure to follow. From what I've read from your listings, you are well on your way. You take almost all of the products that have been listed by Jeanine...when she itemized all that she took along with Active H. Seems to me, all you have to do is add it to your regime. No one, can guarantee you will be cured, no one. No doctor, no person of any kind. You didn't get sick overnite, and you will not get well overnite. Be consistent, be patient, and most of all...be positive. Negative thinking is a killer. Sincerely, Margie. Guest guest
Yes, I am still sick, the oncolgy doctor told me just to go home and have a good life and to come back every three months for follow up blood work. This is check for developement of the mgus to multiple myeloma. My plastic surgeon just removed them in his office, did not see them, was on pills to relax me. Never heard other word from him after that. I thought everything is removed when they take the implants out. I am interested in hearing more from you. Guest guest
Margie, I seriously doubt your implants were removed properly. You really need to see a plastic surgeon who knows what to do! The capsule grows around all implants to wall off self from none-self. . . It collects silicone debris and keeps organisms that are growing on, or in, your implants from easily traveling to the rest of your body. Much of what we do in the group is to counsel women on the need to have their implants removed properly. Most plastic surgeons would do what it appears your doctor did . . . Make an incision, pop your implants out and sew you up. . . Quick and easy . . . Then they tell you that you won't get better after getting your implants out because implants are safe. NOT! While you're making plans, I'd suggest getting the book " The Maker's Diet " . . . Dr. Rubin outlines a very good program for restoring ones health after any number of health problems. . . The women here will witness to it's effectiveness. . . There are a host of supplement that go with it . . . www.appleadayandbeyond.com has the best prices as well as the book. Something you may find helpful is to take Oil of Oregano (get it from a health food store). Start with a few drops at a time and increase it gradually. You may feel temporarily worse, but that's OK. . . It means that the bad organisms are dying off. Just go with it. Drink plenty of non-chlorinated water and know that you're going to get much, much better! I don't know that you can reverse a diagnosis of MGUS, but we've seen diagnoses of all sorts of autoimmune diseases reverse as women detox. We have a bunch of detox programs in the archives. I'd suggest looking them over and selecting some that you feel comfortable with. . . Start with just one at a time so you know what works and what doesn't work. Doing to many at once may make you feel so bad you'll give up! God brought you here for a reason . . . Please trust that He will guide you where you need to go! Guest guest
Margie, Contact your surgeon's office and request a copy of your post-op report . . . Tell them that you need it for further medical care. . . Don't let them put you off. . . If they do, you can contact their medical association . . . They MUST write a post-op report! Guest guest
Margie, I followed your posts as best I could, and I am making some assumptions. Can you clarify for me? Did you get implants after a mastectomy? Did they lead to your MGUS diagnosis? What led to your decision to explant? It sounds like your doctor performed the typical removal, by just popping them out of your body. Are you interested in pursuing this further regarding the scar tissue? I felt gradually sicker and seeked medical advise, which was a nightmare because i went to several doctors saying i was real sick till finally the family doc sent me to oncolgy doc because of the blood results. I am wondering if removing the scar tissue would make me better, and maybe the oncolgy doc was wrong and i dont have mgus. Guest guest
Margie, What an ordeal. Were your implants silicone or saline? When the right side ruptured, did the doctor recommend explant for you? Ruptured silicone gel implants definitely need an en bloc removal! Did you get a copy of your operative report from the doctor who took them out? If you didn't, perhaps you will want to ask for a copy so you can see exactly what he/she did. I would think that a p/s would know that ruptured implants need extra special care. I think that removing the scar tissue if it is indeed still in you, would certainly assist your body in its efforts to heal. While it is still there, your body will lose the battle to fight against it. It isn't going anywhere, and may in fact be undergoing changes itself. I would suggest that you read the article about retained scar capsules that Dr. Pierre Blais wrote....it is in our files section in the explant folder. This will give you a greater understanding of what may be going on in your body. With this kind of diagnosis, I assume you are wanting to do everything you can to fight it. Cleaning out the mess that was left in your chest would probably be a great help, but there are going to be things you will have to do in addition to that, such as various detoxification therapies. It will be a good idea to assist your body in its efforts to purge whatever junk has been floating around in there. I pray this gives you a little more hope. I think you can get rid of your condition, but of course, nothing is certain. But we can have hope. I'll hope with you! Every little step is one step closer to possibly getting better. Guest guest
Hi Margie, It is easy to be confused in all of this, because doctors have really confused us with their many claims/lies/deceptions/greed. I think the truth is a bit different than what they wish to believe. I am surprised your ps didn't want to replace your ruptured saline implant, especially knowing there is a replacement policy with the two major manufacturers. Did you just request removal to be done with them because of your diagnosis? In any case, it is hard to say what will happen upon capsule removal. Certainly we have every reason to believe that it will help. They don't belong in you. But there are no guarantees. Every person is unique biologically; the immune system is like a fingerprint. No two are the same. But we have seen enough improvements in women who take the proper steps to believe that it will have a positive bearing. Those steps are the ones that allow you to move toward greater health with the least amount of toxic burden possible. That means, scar tissue removed, avoidance of prescription drugs that are toxic to the liver and immune system, eating a clean and healthy diet, avoidance of a lifestyle that includes smoking, drinking, partying late into the night, stress, avoiding toxic relationships, and in doing the good things that promote purging, cleansing and health. I wish I could tell you that your symptoms will go away if the capsules are removed. I can't tell you that. But I can tell you that I think, based on the articles that are written about retained scar capsules, that capsules will not be good for you long term. It's a decision you will have to come to terms with, and I know it's hard. But that peace you will have knowing they are gone will be worth alot. Guest guest
I did not notice any symptoms at the time the implant ruptured. The ps does not know I am sick. The diagnosing has been just in the last two months. When the implant ruptured he asked if i want new ones back in, i said no because a could not afford them and because they did not last the way i thought they would. There was no mention of the replacement policy too. This doctor was suppose to be good. I cant believe i knew nothing about the capsule removal part. As for stress, Its my middle name... and toxic relationships.. that would be my husband of 27 years. He has failed in the part that says " In sickness and in health". For he has not believed one word about me being sick! So glad to know helpfull woman like you! Margie From: Tricia Trish <glory2glory1401@...>Reply- To: Subject: RE: MargieDate: Wed, 3 May 2006 12:40:23 -0700 (PDT) Hi Margie, It is easy to be confused in all of this, because doctors have really confused us with their many claims/lies/deceptions/greed. Guest guest
Margie, I am heartbroken to hear about your husband not being supportive. Your situation is hard and to not have a hubby that is understanding would be a nightmare. I hope you can find support here or in an other friend or family member. Having someone to share this burdon is IMHO critical to our healing. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you find peace. Guest guest
Margie, A couple points . . . Do you have any idea if your ps reported your ruptured implant to the FDA (MedWatch), or to the manufacturer? . . . He is supposed to. Most don't . . . That makes the manufacturer look better. Secondly . . . don't give up on your marriage . . . It's really tough for men to feel that something is going on that's out of their control (like a sick wife). They can get downright mean when they feel impotent! . . . Just hang in there . . . Sis can give you some excellent coaching on how she got through to her hubby. . . My hubby and I were having problems when I got sick too. Things have turned completely around. Now, when I'm sick, he's behind me 100%! Guest guest
Margie, The chances are good that you will start getting better . . . . but that you will have work at it. Think of the capsules as smoldering infected tissue . .. . Getting them out is a big part of the solution. But, your body will still have to counteract the effects of the toxins. Women have recovered after much worse ruptures - including toxic shock. . . You'll need to make a commitment to yourself and stick to it! Guest guest
Margie . . . No one can promise that your MGUS diagnosis will go away after explant . . . But stranger things have happened. I do feel strongly that, if your capsules are properly removed, and you adopt a very healthy lifestyle, your chances of avoiding MM are good. Guest guest
Margie, You could try contacting your PS . . . But, since he removed your implants so badly to begin with, it's very unlikely he would do it right the second time. Most likely he'd give you a song and dance about implants not causing your problems - and may even suggest a psychiatrist! . . . You really need to find a doctor who takes this seriously. It doesn't have to be a plastic surgeon. I don't know your insurance situation . . . but sometime insurance will cover the surgery. . . How's your relation with your primary care doctor? . . .. Would he listen and make a recommendation? Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Margie, Many times our loved ones remain clueless as to what we are dealing with. I remember how my husband really didn't understand the seriousness of my sickness, and didnt' want me to be too impulsive in removing the implants. I was actually surprised at this turn because he didn't push me to get implants at all, but he really didn't want me to be without them either! I looked healthy enough, but I was feeling poisoned beyond belief. It was a very tough time for us. I ended up doing everything myself. He was not a computer whiz (still rebels against the idea of being so dependent upon them), and he did no reading, no talking to doctors, nothing. Funny that he had gone to my implanting doctor for consult though....he showed interest then. But when it came time to explant, it was really hard to work through all the emotions. He finally came around. Now he is right in step along side me regarding how stupid doctors can be. He doesn't trust any of them anymore. He has been a real blessing. I just wanted to say that men can sometimes be confused and not really know how to act when we get sick. I think alot of them just don't want to deal with it because they don't know how to fix it themselves, and they are too willing to let the doctors have all the say. And when doctors say it's not the implants, they go along with that. It takes a bit of effort to get our loved ones to begin to see things in the reality that we face....that until those implants come out, we are not going to get better. It's a pretty dismal situation. You can get better. Just keep plugging away at what you know to be right in your heart.
