Hello All -

A while back people were posting about Mommie Dearest and other movies

that reminded them of living with BPD relatives.

Last night I saw a great movie that made me think " Wow, that's what

family life SHOULD be like! "

I thought it might be fun to start a list of good movies, encouraging

movies, movies that would be great to watch when we are feeling down

or looking for guidance.

To start it off, I'd recommend a Japanese animated film called

" Whisper of the Heart " (dubbed in English, you can get it on Netflix).

It's SO beautiful -- lovingly rendered scenes of everyday life in

Tokyo, and a coming of age story of a little girl who wants to be a

writer.

What if you had lived with adults who lovingly encouraged you on your

journey towards independence? She does, and it's fascinating to watch.

Gorgeous, touching, funny, never sappy -- totally recommended!!

I love this topic. One of my all time favorite movies is called

ROCKET GIBRALTAR, about a family that gets together for their fathers birthday.

Over the

next few days the grandchildren work together to make a gift for their

grandfather. Great

moments of sibling love and just a good hearted film. I dont want to tell too

much about

the movie cause I dont want to give it away.

Okay my next favorite movie about a family is sooooo silly but I love it CAPTAIN

RON. Just

one of those movies that shows a lot of family love and funny times.
