Guest guest
Perhaps you can change the timing of your HC doses? I know when I forget my bedtime dose, like last night, these are the times I am awake all night starting about 3AM. Night time protein snacks also help. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
ANother thought Mo, is that maybe stop all thyroid increases whiel you are tapering off the Pred. You are biound to have adrenal stress while doing that taper, and adding to it by increasing thyroid is going to make it worse. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Hi Val and good morning to you from heatwave England I take the 5 mg Pred. first thing and then the 5 mg h/c in the early afternoon, sometimes a bit later if I forget or have fallen asleep which is usual. I wondered if increasing the Armour, one eight only three weeks after the earlier increase might be contributing. Someone suggested that I might be taking too much and that could be causing the insomnia so I wanted to check that out with you. My pulse right now is 75. But it does seem to increase as the day progresses. Mo
Guest guest
I think it could be too much oinyor adrenals while you are tapering the Pred dose down. You need to get that stable first, then worry abotu increasig Armour. Even stress dosing an extra 5MG for 3-4 days afteran increase then should help. But for now I think oyu ar running out of COrtiosl in the night time. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Hi again My last Armour increase was 10 days before I started the h/c reduction. Could the adrenal stress from the reduction be causing the kind of sleep issues I am experiencing? I will hold off any further increases. I was planning to wait 6 weeks anyway by which time I may be down to 20/25 h.c. Mo

Hi Val I did check my average temps for a few days and they were stable at 97.something. Do you remembering suggesting that I needed to increase my Armour at that point? Probably not, you have so much to do. But I was in the process of reducing the Pred at that time, since March. Was this a mistake? I did stress dose to enable the increases in Armour. You think I am running out of cortisol in the night time. Should I take the 5 mg h/c at bedtime? instead of afternoons? Or should I cut back on the Armour? Thanks.
