I almost got one on a partying night in college until someone told me I can't be buried in a Jewish cemetery with a tattoo (yet, ear piercing is fine - go figure). We now go to a reformed Temple and I had a long talk with one Rabbi who told me it is up to the cemetery. If buried in reformed, they are pretty lax. I have wanted a tattoo forever, but this had held me back. Now, I think I will go for it!!! Okay, I am finally shutting down for the night. Been thinking a lot about my New Year's resolutions and will post tomorrow. They are more like One Day At A Time things as I never have kept one resolution <g>.
