Guest guest
I've not worked hospital clinical for some time now. I have a patient that's not tolerating anything, a lot of pain, a lot of weight loss as a result. LEAP protocol helps, but still struggles. No doc appt till next week, and she's frustrated with lack of improvement. First started having GI problems after a ruptured appendix with infection. I have a call in to her doc, but no response yet. For now, I'd like to find her an elemental formula to drink, if tolerated, just to get calories and protein in, hopefully painfree - she's avoiding eating because of pain. Any OTC, easily available elemental formulas that you'd recommend, or as close to it as possible?
