i have had that.. not sure if it is related or not but it could be the body

producing mucus in response to something it thinks is an irritant. drinking

milk makes it worse. I have found carbonated drinks seem to clear it away

but this may not be a good thing. Are you actually coughing anything up?

Prob the best thing is to drink lots of water, if that doesn't work maybe

some robitussin to thin the mucus so you can cough it up. (i know, i am one

to talk about drinking lots of water! <g>)

Cling Film in my throat

Gee you guys are going to think I am totally bonkers. But the last

few days I have felt like I have a film of cling film down my

throat, I feel the need to cough madly to try and clear it.

I don't have a cold or anythihng.

Is it just another weird symtom?

Sorry, you guys are probably all rolling your eyes now!

THanks

When I get that sensation, lemon juice (straight) seems to help clear

it. I have allergies and have trouble with mucus too. If you don't

think you can take it straight, try putting it in some hot tea or make

a strong lemonade.

Hope that helps!

Hi

I get what you describe if I eat yogurt, ice cream, or drink milk and I have never been on any kind of drug other than an occasional Tylenol in the past. For me it is an allergy so I either avoid it, or suffer. Simple huh! Usually I do the former, but sometimes in the summer I just need to have an ice cream cone - but then I suffer for a couple of days. The only thing that might help is a Sudafed, but I try to never take pills of any kind, especially since I have been a subscriber to this group. Hope it goes away soon and you start feel normal. Take care.

Stay informed and stay healthy!

Hi

No not actually coughing anything up, it just feels like there is a film down my throat? Do you think it is just a strange withdrawal effect?

It’s a bit of an odd feeling?

Thanks

Love

I think it is worse in the mornings, so maybe it is the milk from my cereal? We have a grocery delivery tomorrow so then I can try the lemon in water.

Thanks for all your help

Dear ,

You said:

<<I am much better today as yesterday I sipped water with

lemon all day. Thanks for the suggestions. I really like the

new 7-up Plus (has vitamin C and calcium in it). >>

** You could help yourself a lot if you replaced the 7-Up with clean

water. The issue here is acid/alkaline balance and sugar or aspartame.

I drink lots of water (filtered)- sometimes with lemon, sometimes

without. The 7-Up Plus is sweetened with Splenda. I've never been

able to tolerate aspertame and since I limit my intake of sugar,

having an occasional soda sweetened with Splenda is a real treat.

Perhaps I shouldn't drink it, but I have already given up so many

things I deemed harmful to my body.
