what a crazy place i live!!!

ok heres a good one guys, my sister lives across the street from a guy and his

mother ,hes in his late 40's ,he has esld, due to hep. like bobby glenn, he has

enceph. really bad, my sister has been telling me about him cutting the lawn

mower into pieces breaking his truck windows out ,crazy stuff, i said kathy his

brain is poisoned try to get him to the hosp. ,well this morning he pulled a gun

on his mother at 745am, the swat team has taken over my sisters house ,guns are

everywhere, tim's heavy armed also. they have the whole darn police force there

,they have let it go all day, they havent went in cause hes so heavly armed ,i

just watched it on the news and i am mad, why arent they going in, so i called

my sister and shes crying, the cop told her, suicide happens all the time

mam,and with the weapons he has we arent gonna risk our officers

lives!!!!!!!!!!! can you believe this crap, hes sick, he tried treatment once

,gave up from the side effects, lately saying god healed him and he didnt have

hep any longer, he felt it leave his body, his mother is of no help, shes scared

of him and has left for eastern ky. to her daughters house. i am outraged ,they

wont do something before he kils himself. my siater has a rental house out back

,theyhave been there all day WITH her tenant, they want her going to a hotel for

the nite. she said heck no, you go in there and get tim to the hosp. ...we cant

do that mam, we are going to wait him out. whats so sad is tims a great

guy,normally,he's an engineer highly intelligent, why wont they help him. ok

thats whats happening in bowling green ky. tonight. of course our news is down

playing it, but this is my sisters house the swat team is hunkered down in, i

wish my son was here!!! he wouldnt be scared to go in and try to help this man.

our police force is pathetic. the guy is sick, and they dont care, just one less

hep. c pt. in the world the way they see it, yeah i am upset!!! love barby

I hope my encephalipathy doesn't go that way......only less than two months to

get to assisted living.  I need help packing...........May God bless this man

and his famiy.

Much as I feel for this man, I also understand the viewpoint of the police

dept. Suicide by police is very common. Unfortunately, often the police

end up wounded or even dead due to the individual's illness. If I were the

family member of those police officers, I wouldn't want them putting their

lives on the line in order to help this man harm himself either. I know

he's sick and I know it is the job of the police force to prevent crime.

However, when dealing with mentally ill people, the police also have a

responsibility to protect their own. I pray it all turns out well, the man

gets help and no police officer is un-necessarily wounded or killed as a

result of this man's mental illness. I have empathy for the ill man, but I

also have compassion for those officers. They want to go home to their

families at the end of their work day just like the rest of us.
