The movie is great, we have it and have lent it to a ton of people and they have lent it to more people even! It's such a great eye opening picture of the devastation of lyme and TBD's.

I wanted to ask you guys about that. Anyone who has a spouse or partner with lyme also and whom you are sexually active with.....what do you do? What if you want to have a baby? I have heard of spouses passes infection back and forth and it scares the crap out of me. My husband and I can't have sex because it is so painful for me, but he has lyme and some co-infections as well. He is fully functioning and is barely symptomatic, and has been treated and is taking cats claw and resveratrol and banderol currently, and was on some abx for a few months years ago, as well and diflucan.

We want to have a baby together so bad, and my being way too sick still is what is stopping us. But in the next year or two we are hoping and praying to be able to. Anyone with experience on this issue or any advice? I'd appreciate it.

Hi ,My husband and I also really want to have children and I have researched and asked many people about this. I have two friends whose husbands passed them Lyme, which they then passed on to their children. I spoke to my doctor about this and she said that 1. Lyme CAN be passed sexually, but usually it's from husband to wife (very uncommon for wife to pass to husband), and 2. Lyme usually will not pass to a child in the womb if the mother is on antibiotics during her pregnancy. Studies have been done to this effect (the most recent was in Austria, I believe...?). It's still important to check the baby once it's born, usually through the cord blood.

As for breastfeeding, the jury is still out on that. Most doctors recommend that women with Lyme abstain from breastfeeding just in case, but that is each woman's choice. No studies have been done on passing children Lyme through breast milk that I am aware of.
