I just want to add something ... when we are at last able to lose pounds, WOW - what a difference it makes in our insulin resistance! Those are two goals most type 2's can dive right into ... cut back on the calories and the carbohydrates ... and try to move about more .... and as your health situation improves, the workouts can get more vigorous. There is now scientific proof that just jiggling your foot all day while sitting at a desk or bouncing your arms makes a difference. ((Hey! Just tell others you are practicing the " Chicken Dance " !) I'm off to do some outdoor chores for a bit .. will keep checking ... It is such a bummer to be hungry .... day after day ... We quit dieting after awhile. Eat salads ... You must feel full in order to be able to keep on with your eating style. Keep chatting and we will give you some ideas ... Those little packages of thin-sliced dried beef, chopped up ... chopped hard-boiled eggs ... chick peas ... celery ... lettuce .... tomatoes ... cucumbers ... cauliflower ... broccoli ... green beans ... peanuts ... sunflower seeds ... green olives ... Use a dressing that is homemade and a good combo of low-carbohydrate and low-fat ... or buy one off the shelf. Little changes won't do it all ... This is a serious disease ...
