Guest guest
Gill I've only been playing the game for a couple of months, but I find that if the discipline slips then up go the BGs. On the other hand, I would have thought that between 6 and 11.5 is reasonably under control. My GP wants me to manage between 5 and 8 and says that this is a pretty aggressive target. 5.2 this evening, achieved by having very little for lunch and nothing in the way of snacks in the afternoon. There is a price to be paid, of course, which is hunger. My wife tells me that I will get over this, but she always was unsympathetic to hunger! Could this be >the cause of my fluctuating readings, ranging from 6.0 to 11.5? Most definitely. I find that stress causes wild fluctuations in my BG. Adrenalin is poured out, and that generally raises BG, but the system is highly non-linear, so no simple explanation is possible My doctor gives me or increases my medication for stress at such times.
