Check this out. A man who once was a high up corporate insider at a major health insurance carrier was brought back from the Dark Side and now had dedicated a good portion of his life to spreading the word and getting the inside facts out on how and what was going on behind the scenes at these horrible greedy places... He has now written a book on what he knows and cares to share so we should know it too... His name is Wendell Potter and the new book is "Deadly Spin".

Makes a great waiting room book for any IMP's space, not that our patients wait much if at all with our difference in scheduling and access.... I plan to try and get a copy for our waiting room in the next few days....

We actually ran late Monday because I had to assist a patient get her PCP properly assigned with her new FHP's program which as they do way too often, auto assigned our patient who told them we have been her doc for years... And so then we were like 20 minutes almost half an hour behind.... And as I'm appologizing and explaining to the two patients waiting in our waiting room, they we laughing at me for even appologizing... "Hey you guys running a few minutes behind is like the other guys running half an hour ahead, please don't feel a need to appologize or explain.... And keep up the good work to make sure and helping US your patients, with our insurance coverage problems..." It so nice when our patients clearly get it....
