Guest guest
Hi everyone. Could someone tell me the difference between taking adrenal cortex vs hydrocortisone? I take something from Professional Botanicals that is adrenal cortex 75. I tried looking them up on the internet but the site is for doctors only it seems. Out of the blue, I have started to feel hyper with a racing heart, a high pulse, and a splitting headache. I am confused because I thought I was hypo and needed a raise. I am back to 'starving' again. I was doing great, and actuallly lost a few pounds because I was not as hungry as I always was. I have reactive hypoglycemia, but I had been doing so well lately. I have hashi's too. Can I be hypo and hyper at the same time? How the heck does one control that? a puzzled and frazzled conny
Guest guest
Cortex would contain every thing that the adrenal cortex makes, which is quite a few hormones besides Cortisol. What it sounds like is happening is you are having a T3 dump as it builds up in the blood when you are low in Cortisol and can't get into the cells, then when you add Cortisol, all that T3 suddenly is available to the cells and makes you hyper till it is used up. You need to stop thyroid for a day or two till this stops but continue the adrenal meds. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
-Val: what time would you suggest I do my adrenal cortex? I've been doing it at 10:00am and 4:00 pm. my corisol starts dropping around noon, and continues to drop the rest of the day,but is okay in the early am. I posted last month but can't recall the exact numbers. I was taking 2 grains of armour around 5:30 am. 1 1/2 grains around 10:00am. and the last 1/2 at bedtime. Does this sound okay to you? thanks conny

You should still take it first thing in the morning. The reason for this is to stop the pituitary putting out more ACTH and whipping tired adrenals all dya, so If you take two doses I would do one at 6-7 AM and the second 10-11 AM. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
