Guest guest
Less than 1%, if I researched correctly, spontaneously shed the Hep C virus without treatment..I am one of them according to my hepatologist. For two yrs. now the Hep C has been undetectable. I have had a hepatic vein thrombosis aka blood clot's in the portal vein that are now history. My MEL score is at 8 as of last blood work, Doc. says 16 for transplant..varices alone not determining factor for him unless uncontrollable bleeding..same with as-cites..tells me to keep on keeping on with what I am doing. As of now doing very well, he says. Real tell will be the blood work I did Friday last. Hoping for acceptable levels of ammonia, bilirubin, carotene, etc. Still am chronic Hep B carrier. And have as-cites, controllable by medication and by current diet, varices, and cirrhosis. Looks like I'm going to prove the doc's that gave me 5 yrs., 4 yrs. ago, wrong. My Hepatologist never gave me a time line, though. He is the man...peace and comfort,Dave
