Guest guest
I did a four mile run today...in the snow and wet and ick. Boy do I feel happy I didn't stay in bed and blow it off. Now T-Day eating can be guilt free! I hope everybody has a splendid Thanksgiving. Enjoy your blessings. I'm sending a special message to who has one of the most positive, enthusiastic attitudes of anyone I know. I know you will be missing a very special angel (especially) today and it might be kind of tough. You are in my thoughts buddy. My you be blessed today. Guest guest
Good to see you back in this group. We have any others that are easing back onto the wagon now, or maybe after the first of the year? Guest guest
Yikes, what did I sign up for (or not sign up for?) Survived Turkey Day, ate lots of crap. Can finally walk normal again (after squats/presses/SL deads). Got the rest of my workouts in. Biceps have finally healed, took it easy on them today. Ate pretty good too, but will get strict again on Monday...so to speak. At my last job, I could take a morning break to eat my cottage cheese and oatmeal...I don't have any idea what will be allowed at my new gig, it seems like that might not fly there, so I'll have to see. They do have a couple break rooms with fridges. Brett (snowing in SLC) Holowko, Jr. wrote: > <>Oh yeah... > > And, our " It's not a race " contest now includes Jack, Jeff, Brett, and > myself (). Guest guest
Brett, What you officially - unofficially signed up for will be the longest thread ever on the BFL email web site. Today is day 6 of 84 for this " It's not a race " contest. I'm not sure, otherwise, what to say it is except, maybe, additional motivation for Jack, Jeff, you and me. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! ...I hear it's good for cardio and lower back exercises. I guess I'll be finding that out soon enough, too. As for the mid morning meals... There is always an option of a protein bar. I'll grab them when I find myself tight on time. They have more fat, but, some (like the Storm bars) are pretty tasty and with enough water, filling too. BTW... After my weigh-in yesterday, I think I must be in the dead last position. With the little extra (okay LOTS extra) holiday and stress eating, I gained 3 pounds of net weight. The only saving grace is that the mybodycomp.com site suggests it's all " fat free mass " gain. I wonder if they do that on holiday weeks just to make you feel better? Anyhow, I've also cycled off the creatine last week and I'm definitely feeling it today. I'm not pressing as much weight or as many reps as just a week ago. In addition, I am feeling a lot more of the " good pain " from the workouts. Not as much as the very first time I cycled off, but, enough to feel a little stiff. Eeee - gads! Cycled off the creatine AND gained 3 pounds! Uh - oh! Back to the basics starting tomorrow! I've also been doing a little more of my " parental " stress eating, again. With the change in weather, my 7 year old son, Jimmy, has had serious trouble with his asthma this week. We ended up at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia yesterday, four months to the day after our daughter 's passing. ..NOT a pleasant reminder. After lots of IV fluids and round the clock treatments, Jimmy is doing worlds better today and our family's mood, once again, has recovered. We hope to have him back home with us by tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. The tag teaming and overnight stays with him at the hospital has worn us down a little more. Anyhow, back to the family fun house. Talk to you all later. Remember... Progress, not perfection!
