Guest guest
Hi, I need advice here once again about what I should be taking. I recently posted my saliva test results from Canary Club: Every single level was 'Depressed', with the Cortisol Burden being 14 (with a reference range of 23 - 42). My fTSH was 41 (normal with a range of 26-85), my fT4 was .46 (High - rang .17-.42), f$3 .48 (Normal with range of .28-1.10) and my TPO was Negative (Normal). My DHEA is 1 - depressed DHEA (rang 3-10). My E2 (Estradiol) is 8 - Postmenopause - No HRT should be 1-4, P1 (Progesterone) 131 (Postmenopause - No HRT should be 5-95), and TTF Free Testosterone 17 (Normal range 8-20). I had been on HRT for 20 years, but went off about 4 months ago. I started taking DHEA a couple of weeks ago, and then I added selenium, since I knew I was so very low in it. I started to feel shaky and felt like my heart was fluttering so I quit taking them both. I received my hydrocortisone in the mail and started taking it, 2.5 mg every morning first thing for three days, with no side effects, and felt ok, so I added a second dose of 2.5 mg 4 hours after the first one today. What I would like to know is when I should try and take DHEA again. I know I need that badly also, but felt that the cortef was more important to get going on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. You are probably saving my life. My doctor just says - my tests are all normal and I look great for my age (66). Carolyn J. Guest guest
Corolyn that cortisol is the priority. WHen you get it up to 20MG a day I would try adding in DHEA and if no reactions then add in some thyroid. but with your high T4 I am betting somewhere along the line of increasing cortisol you will have a thyroid dump, so increase the HC carefully. It may be that when you added in DHEA you had a bit of thyroid dump from that! -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Yes they are saliva labs but the same thing applies to them, her Free T4 is over range and her free T3 is low. But this is tissue levels, I bet her Free T3 in her BLOOD is high from the low cortisol. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
I feel certain you need HC. And I would work on building that up to 20MG a day before you do any thyroid increases. But I think getting the HC up to 20MG a day will help you be ABLE to increase without problems. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Do you think I should go ahead and get Armour now as it sounds like I will be needing it. I wasn't sure whether I would or not.
Guest guest
Val, I just wondered if you thought I would need the Armour at some point. You had mentioned that you thought I might have a problem with a build-up or something after awhile. (I can't remember exactly what you said (my photographic memory is now mush) I don't want to order it if I'm not going to need it, but if you think I will need it, then I'll go ahead and get it. Guest guest
Yes the build up can happen with low Cortisol but you will need thyroid once that is gone, ans then you will go hypo. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
