Guest guest Posted June 7, 2006 Report Share Posted June 7, 2006 If you run out it would depend on the state of your adrenals. You could end up in an emergency room with adrenal crisis. If your adrenals are able to pick up some of the slack even you would just be ill and very shaky for a few days to weeks. You do NOT want to risk running out of HC once you start on it, you do need to taper off it. But I am in that same position with thyroid meds. If I ran out I would most likely have a stroke within a WEEK!
