Guest guest
All the talk about dogs is making me miss mine even more! Yikes. Grace, I think you probably made the right choice although, if I could have one, I would get mine back immediately! Maybe when the girls are older it will seem like a better idea. For anyone that was wondering, Thorn went to a very nice home. He is living on a farm with lots of room to run, other dogs to play with and horses to chase. From what I hear, he is very happy. This week I have been missing him more than usual. His birthday is coming up and the weather is nice, so I miss the hikes in the woods. I've also had repairmen here and I realized just how much I depended on him to feel safe. Well, now the tears are coming again. Guest guest
In UK agility world about 8 years ago or more there were quite a number of poodle x jack russells bred as felt it was a good winning combination - called them poojacks!! - Not so many now though and yess have heard of other poodle crosses........crossbreeds often thought of better healthwise although I have known of some who have only inherited the bad things from both the breeds used!! Enid G slightly off topic but who loves working with dogs!! Re: Dogs Okay, kids, here's a funny doggie story. Have you all heard about DOODLES??? They are the new breed of dog, bred to be the perfect yuppie pet; they don't shed and are non-allergenic. They are a standard poodle crossed with either a labrador or a golden lab, so they have names like Labradooble, or just plain Doodle. My neighbor has one. It's a cross between a chocolate lab and a poodle. So when I see him, I always ask, "And how's your Doodle today?" There are a couple of others in our neighborhood and they cost $750.00!!! LOL I'll take my ie-Dachshund mix anyday because he's not really a dog, he's a person in a dog SUIT!!!!! LOL "Blind Reason" a novel of pharmaceutical intrigueThink your antidepressant is safe? The article in Life Magazine about Doodles also stated that in the cross-breeding frenzy they have oftentimes bred the brains right out of the dog!!
