Guest guest
Don't know about buttermilk, but sure could find a probiotic capsule to ADD to buttermilk! Culturelle and Garden of Life, (shoot, forget the name of their probiotic, but it's from their website/product line) are two good ones. Shopping the isle, I noticed a milk product with acidophilis...I am going crazy? Re: Probiotic in buttermilk? Guest guest
Nope, not crazy. Actually, REAL, unpasteurized milk was good in that it did contain more natural, healthy bacteria. When we pasteurize, we prevent some problems while creating others. Kefir is a lot like a drink my Finn mother used to make. Started some culture. . . left the culture in the milk to sit on the counter for a day or so. .. . then chilled and drank it. . . Was very traditional.
