Guest guest
My CDE and dietitian both said put them in an opaque container ( One that you can't see through and that is thick) like a bleach bottle or coffee can with a lid. and when full tape shut with duct tape and dispose of as any other trash. I have a clipper like a nail clipper that cuts off the needles, but they said that is not necessary. If I am away from home, however, I do bend the needle and break it off! Toni I have found that the large plastic jug that liquid laundry soap comes in is great. The large white funnel can easily be removed by hand or with a pair of pliers. You now have a 4 " + opening. I just keep the orange cap. A large container for me will hold about 8-10 weeks worth of used syringes (I do 4 injections a day). I recap it and throw it away. Guest guest
Thank you for the warm and encouraging welcome. I spoke with my sister-in-law tonight and she told me it took her 2 years to completely get off Prozac. She has been off it for 6 months after taking it for over 20 years. She is still having side effects. I guess I have a long road ahead of me. Her husband is really supportive and had a lot to do with her coming off the drug. I wish I were so lucky. I guess that is why I'm here. My husband doesn't even know I'm trying to get off the Lexapro. I'll tell him at some point, but right now it's just not important. It won't matter much to him. I look forward to talking more with you all. Joan
Guest guest
She has been off it for 6 months after taking it for over 20 years. Prozac hasn't been on the market for 20 years. It was introduced in very late 1987. But if she's been on it that whole time, that's way too long. "Blind Reason" a novel of pharmaceutical intrigue Think your antidepressant is safe? Think again.
