Guest guest
We have an class that all potential recipients must attend. It is roughly 2 hours. Our dietition, LMSW and senior coordinator teach this class. At the end all patients are given an appt for their financial/psycho social and nurse coordinator interview, which is usually a couple of weeks out. The nurse coordinator goes from there scheduling the patients work up. We sometimes will have patients drop out before attending the class. Some will drop out after the class and before the interview. Once they make it thru the interview most stick with it. Does the TXFC call the patients for their decision of moving forward with the tx. Our team is thinking about asking the patients to call us two days after origination with their decision. We are wanting to trim time off our work load by working the patient who truly interested in having a t x. Your input is welcome. Thank you. Joyce L.
