I apologize if this has been already been spoken but, my Isocort arrived yesterday and what are the recommended dosages? BTW, Is it the pattern for the thyroid to ask for more armour when adrenal cycles are fulfilled by supplementation? In fact it is one of the stages of adrenal fatigue cause by weak adrenals. What happens is you need the highest cortisol in the

mornings to get you awake and to fill your energy needs for the day, so your pituitary puts out alot od ACTH to get that goign, but with weakened adrenals thye can't put oput enough cortisol, so the ACTH stays high just whipping your adrenals for more cortiosl, still they can;t preduce enough, so ACTH stays abnormally hignh into the evening hourse the the adrenals sputter out all they have which by THEN is much mre than you need for that time of day, leaving you stressed and wakeful and poor sleep that night. This cycle continues till the adrenals completely burn out. Before they burn out if you take cortisol (HC or Isocort) in the mornings the pituitary senses enough cortisol so stops production of ACTH then your body can resume a normal rythym of higher cortisol in the mornings and lower to almost none at night and you will sleep better. This is why I always tell people to taper from the highest dose of HC in the
