Guest guest
I have a patient that is insured thru his wife's retirement benefit insurance who has issued them a Medicare supplement plan. The patient is 57 yrs old and started peritoneal dialysis on 09/09, became Medicare eligible on 10/09. The patient was transplanted 09/16/10, and now Medicare and Blue Cross are not paying claims stating they are not primary payer. Since this is a Medicare supplement plan should it be primary since the wife is the subscriber, and he needs to go thru COB period, making Medicare primary until 4/1/12? na Casillas Transplant Financial Coordinator Loma University Medical Center Transplantation Institute fax scasillas@...
