Guest guest
--- Hi Chelle, I wish I could do quilting, that would be soooo productive for me. Im thinkin of taking a class if we can afford it. Right now I am trying to sign up for a computer course to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. I am on Vocational Rehab and they only cover so much. Sigh. I hope you had a pain free day today-I pray all of my new friends have a great day! kelizabeth n Hugs-N-Pain , " Chelle " wrote: > > Kelizabeth, > > I cross stitch all the time. I'm also supposed to working on a quilt, but it just sits here beside me. I only pull it out when I make a cross stitch mistake that I don't know what to do about. LOL I am finding that if I spend too much time sewing, my hand, arm and shoulder complain, so I'm trying to limit my sewing hours a little bit. It is a great stress reliever though. > > Chelle > >
Guest guest
Kelizabeth, My mom owns her own quilting business. That's what she decided to do to fill her days when she retired, and now she does it almost to the exclusion of everything else. I think she felt like she HAD to teach me to quilt or the tradition wouldn't be carried on. But....I don't have any daughters, and I'm not that good at it. LOL I like the cross stitching WAY better. Guest guest
--- Chelle I can relate to your moms excitement with quilting. I had that excitement before my knee pain made me stop doing stained glass. I would have 4-5 projects going at once and I loved it! Needless to say, I havent done any in about 4 years, I still have all my stuff in the closet, which I need to get rid of cuz it makes me sad to see it. Cross stitching is something I can do (sitting down) and Im doing a real cool wolf one for my dad for xmas (cross my fingers). Im having kind of a bad pain day today our weather cant make up its mind what it wants to do. Yesterday we had a terrible rain storm in the afternoon which made everything humid-ewww! In addition to the chronic pain, I also suffer from bi-polar disease and the meds I take for that make me sleepy. So between the knee meds and bi-polar meds nighty nite, lol Hope you are having a pain free day (hugs) kelizabeth In Hugs-N-Pain , " Chelle " wrote: > > Kelizabeth, > > My mom owns her own quilting business. Guest guest
Kelizabeth, I'm so sorry you had to give up something you love. That just stinks. I am working on the Apache Wedding Blessing in cross stitch and want to finish it before Christmas for my husband if possible. He already had a 3' X 4' indian chieftain head that I did for him in cross stitch in his office, and that one took me 5 years to finish off and on. It came out really cool though. I am also bipolar, but only take klonopin for anxiety. They discovered that lithium was the cause of my major stomach problems last year, so I have not gone on anything else since I stopped taking that in January. So far I have only had one major mood swing and that was into depression last week, but it hasn't lasted too long. I'm still irritable and cranky though. Are you bipolar I or II? I'm bipolar II so I tend more towards the depression. What are you taking for it? Chelle
