RE: Post kidney transplant follow up

We try to follow our post kidney transplant patients for at least a year after transplant. We then give them the option of following with us or going back the their nephrologists. Some of our out of town patients go back to their nephrologists sooner because of the travel expense. All post transplant patients are required to have monthly labs drawn and the results sent to us.

We are trying top find out how long most centers follow patients who have had a kidney transplant???

Our center now follows patients for an indefinite period of time do most centers do this for graft survival???

If not what is the time frame you use post transplant and when do patients return to there nephrologists.

At present we have more staff post than pre kidney
